56" in 24 hours??? are you smokin rocks homie? more like 30-35" max, maybe 56" in drift spots. dude, if you were skiing 56" of this lightweight/low moisture blower you would be drinking snow with every inhalation. There was one day last year that broke 52" in 24 hrs.

    I smell gaper.

can any of you folks that hit kwood today tell me if you noticed any natural avy activity around carson pass??? thanx
Unfortunately, I was too busy stressing about the gaper hordes on the road to look up. Lots of people on the road today.

Kirkwood had several large sluffs/small slides. A big section of 99 steps slid. As did several sections of Vista. Vista was funky today. The wind was scouring it a little and it was the only part of the mountain where I was riding on the old layer.

Most importantly, heal up sir! I need someone to set the track up WH for me this week. Just kidding man. I'd hate to see any of us miss the stuff that's supposed to be coming in the next few days.

When I talked to Arty he said it was sick but every turn would pack your mouth with snow and when you tried to spit it out, more would just pack in there.

My Sierra pass is blacked out on Saturdays. If storm conditions return, Sierra on Sunday will be a good choice.

Sierra reported 58" in 24 hours. take for what it is worth.

friend who lives up off Chiapa had 30" at his house in same 24hour period.

another friend who is in charge of terrain parks at sierra got a midnight call from the cat drivers. they couldn't see the rails and boxes and buried them. his GF told me he was spending today digging them out.

    EDIT: vets is right on.

I'm heading up at the ass crack of dawn, 6am tomorrow morning, I wonder if the 88 is going to be a clusterf'ing...

Better not be, I want to try to get there by nine to ten, which is 3.5 hours sharp from Mountain View.

are you smokin rocks homie? 56" in 24 hrs??? max 30-35". Of course in drift spots you could have a couple extra feet. 56" would be a constant face shot of freshies causing you to suffocate. Not to say I don't like suffocating on the blower, quite honestly it's the best thing. not quite yet, maybe monday we could get 56" of freshies, but till then, maybe get your units correct.

    I smell gaper....o wait, you're a snowboarder

Squaw was nice today: 18-24" light powder, bluebird but tracked out oh so fast. More coming in less than 24 hours too!!

thats wierd. i got fresh on kt, then headwall, then BA, then granite then silvy. silvy was holding over the shoulder turns at 3:45 when my legs couldnt take anymore. i thought stuff stayed better today because they had so much open so quickly. i guess its all in the eye of the beholder. but for me to score waist deep snow in northbowl at noon i'd have to say thats holding up pretty good. no complaints from me.

I agree, Squaw was fresh all day. I haven't had a day at squaw like that in years. Especially the nice avalanche I got caught in right when Silverado opened. Scared the shizza out of me, but the all day freshies made me forget about it.

Broken Arrow closed just as I got to it about noonish.

I was on KT and Headwall. It was good but pretty scarred up. I'm not complaining.

Tomorrow I'll be there for more.

Stoked to see some gnarly snow coming in through the spur. The roads were amazingly clear driving all the way into K'wood.

Time to get some shut eye and do some skiing tomorrow. This is going to be fuckin fun, baybee.

I was on the traverse and only saw the avy cloud. Glad you escaped unharmed.
