This morning's rain down here in Folsom/Sacto was a nice surprise as I've been trying to ignore the weather forecasts for the past few days.

Dudes, yesterday I flew over the Sierra, from a snow pack standpoint, it is sad. Hopefully that changes this week.

Called Kirkwood this morning, they plan to open Thursday on chairs 5 and 6. Last year they started on 5 and 11 and opened up quickly from there. Web cam shows snow. Lets hope it keeps up and nukes.

Dudes, ahhh, we gotta start somewhere.

How can you start talking about the snowpack when we haven't even had a good storm yet? Of course, there isn't much of a snowpack!!!

It is snowing in SLT right now, lets hope it continues.

    YES!

It was obviously waiting for DG and I to get through all the stuff we had going on during Nov weekends. Now that we are back and free, it starts snowing.

And to all the Maggotwood viewers out there...on the drive back from the Bay yesterday we heard Barry White's Can't Get Enough Of Your Love twice on the radio! This good omen brought a smile to our faces thinking about powder in the KWood trees each time.

I've been patiently awaiting the day I could turn my office chair around and see snow out the window. So pretty...

Sierra Ski & Cycle Works (I think that's the name) in South Lake. Did a great job.

A favorite of mine is the Dawn Patrol 10/21/04 first turns posted last year by Sierra Cement. Taking a cue from the October pre-opening thread, hiked turns could be good if the storm comes in.

Kwood finally got the revised opening for December 1 on the web page. We can always hope:
