As much as I love F1 I'm finally beginning to tire of it. Not enough passing/racing and qualifying position more or less determines the race.

Not a bad race in Kuala Lumpur as far as tv watching. Lots of jostling for position, everywhere except the lead. Good for Heidfeld, but kinda feels like he maybe ruined a good battle for the lead.

I am really getting sick of watching the pole sitter just drive away. I know people cringe at the idea as artificial, but reverse grid anyone?

Also, holy marbles! You could definitely tell where the racing line was this weekend!

"The newspaper said Sunday's 63 passes in China was the highest number recorded in dry weather in more than 20 years.

That number was more than the number of passes in the Shanghai rain two years ago, and compares starkly with the mere 9 passing moves during the 2008 Chinese Grand Prix.

Turun Sanomat said there were 56 passes in Malaysia less than two weeks ago, compared to 24 at Sepang in 2010. In 2008, there were just 5 passes during the same Grand Prix outside Kuala Lumpur.

Australia, meanwhile, was the least spectacular of the three races so far in 2011, but there were 29 recorded passes, up 4 on 2009, 17 more than in 2008, and 21 more than the Melbourne race four years ago."

As all may recall, F1 did away with, ya know, that whole inconvenient thing with the refueling and whatnot recent yrs ago. Now I'm beginning to see the connection here... was to pave the way for shoddy-tyre-based "racing" (and the resultant "passing" that passes for honest-to-goodness racin'). Could not be "achieved" earlier in the middle of a contract with Bridgestone, me thinks?

F1 should not be a control tire formula.

If it has to be one the tires should not be impacting the race so much.

That said it was an exciting race on Sunday.

I can't wait until Canada. Tyre degradation is going to be insane! Loved the Chinese Grand Prix (never thought I'd say that), The race was probably closer than it would have been if Red Bull could actually get their KERS working. I do hope Ferrari and Mercedes step it up though, I don't want to see this season become a two team race, or worse, have Vettel run away with the damn thing.

Yeah I found out Hammy won before I got a chance to watch the replay so it kinda ruined it. However, watching F1 Debrief got me interested in watching the whole replay. I was hoping Vettel was going to mistake Hammy's car for Weber's and crash into him.

Hopefully Di Resta can get on a proper team soon...that Scot can drive.

I had to dig around for an English subtitle pack but didn't take long and was easy to attach to movie.

There seems to be a director's commentary track on the file too but haven't had a chance to watch it again yet.

One amazing line of Senna's that I hadn't heard before - I think while talking about qualifying at Monaco '88 - something along the lines of "the intensity of that moment was so strong that I believe I left a piece of myself in the memory of it"

Another, maybe too, action packed race. Alonso was very impressive. Would probably have got 2nd without the fumbled last pit stop. Beginning to get embarrassed for Schumi.... I don't see him making it through the season at this rate. In a BBC interview after the race he said he was not enjoying racing. Di Resta to Mercedes?

Anyone else Watching Peter Windsor's VLOG? http://smibs.tv/the-flying-lap . Some really fascinating stuff for the F1 nerd.

I feel bad for him. Kubica could be a gallon into some sweet Polish potato vodka and still out-drive Petrov. Must be tough for him to watch.

completely different situation, completely different people. button slotted in the team really well and hamilton is the one talking about "switching teams" when shit goes outside his comfort zone. he'll be the one to "suck it up".
