Alonso/Ferrari had their 1st win in the bag, not too be due to a nice pile-up. Alonso would have won if not for the late red flag w/~12 to go. He was clearly going to pass Vettel (probably Button too) as he had good rubber (and Vettel had burned his set).

Monaco is the ultimate drivers course...which is why I can't figure how Button got on the podium.

Not at all. I wish they were a bit more competitive this year. They need Kubica (see ya, its been fun Massa)!

I watch a cubic fuck ton of racing and have never seen a race where, during a RED flag, not only the tires being changed but the cars actually being able to be worked on!! Hamilton's wing was fucked, most likely wouldn't have finished the race but the crew was able to fix it. Charlie Whiting has some explaining to do. Unless Prince Albert is the puppet master.

Vettel's success is totally fucking with Hammy's head. The attempted pass on Massa at Loews was never going to happen when fighting for position then squeezing him in the tunnel. He'll be in fourth place in the points after Canada, unless he rear ends another car trying to leave pit lane (a la Kimi)

Ham did put a sweet move on Schumi earlier in the race. By the time Ham got by the dirty German his race was over. Vettel et al were at least 10-15 seconds up the road. You the German enjoyed keeping Ham behind.

Hammy did put a sweet move on Pastor Maldonado...oh wait, he crashed into him as well. And then pulled out the race card. No Lewis, it's not because your are black, it's because you are a muppet.

And Hammy's race was over when he failed to qualify on pole.

Seriously? He didn't pull out the race card in any serious way. he was clearly enormously frustrated right after the race, when he gave the interview, and he made it clear that it was an Ali G reference there and then. I suppose some people might have found it in bad taste, but its not the end of the world for formula 1 driver to have a sense of humor

But you admit he pulled it out. Reference or not, he brought it up. He feels as though he is being unfairly scrutinized by the stewards based upon his recent on track mishaps and instead of keeping his mouth shut over circumstances in which he cannot change, he makes a race based remark. Poor judgment in a sport that relies on good judgment.

As I stated earlier, Vettel's success is getting to his head and it is starting to show, not only on track but off. Hence he is constantly having to apologize for his behavior.

hey, nitwits, what would you rather have -- a driver who speaks his mind, or a party-line tauting figurehead who only says the soundbites his sponsors want you to hear? i'll tell you which one is the muppet if you can't figure it out.

Nothing particularly amazing about the Hamilton move on Schumacher. He just had the inside line.

Well if the hamster actually had anything constructive to say, I'd choose "speaks his mind" but since he is only capable of little bitch rants, he should keep his mouth shut and only open it to say the words; Vodaphone Mclaren and Mercedes.

you guys who say they should ban tire changes during red flags all need to realize that 99% of the time a red flag is caused by really wet weather, so the reason they can change tires is so they can put full wets on, or change to a fresh set of full wets like they did last time there was a red flag.

so they cant really ban tire changes during red flags, unless they say they cant change if its a dry race or something.

You are missing the point I was trying to make. I understand being allowed to switch to the monsoon tires during a red flag but the ability to allow the crews to work on the cars during the red flag was a very strange call and why allow the teams to put new tires on during a bone dry race with a handful of laps remaining?

Normally only by people who know nothing about F1. Inside the sport he's very highly rated. One of the small group of drivers just below the Level of Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso.

Bernie needs to invest in cloud seeding equipment. F1 is much more entertaining in the rain.

A sprinkler system on a section of the track where you would have to decide between intermediates or slicks..

What a race! Button's drive was outstanding. Good to see Schumacher back to form, pity he couldn't hold on for a podium.
