Probably. Shipped to wholesalers like woot.com, etc. Can't imagine they scrap them. All pixel owners I know dug the phone.

Did you guys see the new Google phone can allow you to converse with a person in about 15 languages? As you speak English, it will translate it and say it over the phones speaker in the other language selected. Then as the person replies, you will hear the reply in English in the ear buds you're wearing. All in real time with no lag. It sounds frickin awesome if you travel.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.
I'm trying to estimate if we can hold out for my wife. Her phone is approaching brick status with the droid charging connector
In would still prefer a babelfish

Deets. Works with first gen android.
Watch from 1:32:00. Crazy,
The pixel buds that will be available end Nov 2017 will translate that shit right into your ear. The future is barely even touching the phone. AI is getting nuts.

My search skills are sucking right now. I'm looking for useful comparison of Moto G5s plus and pixel. We buy our phones outright, not through a service plan, and we keep them for several years. We use ting. Does moto update their OS frequently or are they more like Samsung? Thanks. Has this already been thoroughly discussed?
Moto G5 Plus ( 5s Plus is just new and started shipping a few weeks ago) is a 5.2" screen phone, mid resolution camera of 12 MP (compared to some of the newest phones that are 20 megapixels and more) and an Octacore CPU. Base unit is 32 gb of memory, with 64 gb option.
The Google Pixel (first generation if that is what you are asking about and not the just announced and soon to be released Google Pixel 2 which will ship soon) is a 5" AMOLED screen, mid resolution 12 MP camera and a bit better on the front facing camera, Quad core CPU, and 128 GB of memory...
Both were listed as stock Android 7.0 from factory, but of course that was before 8.0 came out and was the latest version.
https://www.phonearena.com/phones/co...es/10264,10398 is a pretty good side by side comparison for raw specs.
For the Moto G5s plus vs Google Pixel 2 then here is the side by side comparison:
https://www.gadgetsnow.com/compare-m...-Moto-G5S-Plus and you have only pre-order on the Pixel 2 shipping early next month if I remember the announcement right.
OS update can happen 2 ways- the manufacturer releases the new version and you have to download it to a computer and do the update via a wired cable most of the time. Or the carrier will push the new version OTA (over the air) to the phone after they have tested and approved of the release. This because the carrier is involved is not always 100% some carriers - especially Prepaid MVNO do not updates at all over the air, others take longer to release the update as they do in fact want to test and make sure there are not issues and features that fail to work on the new OS that were working just fine on the factory or previous version OS.
Thanks! Weighing the extra cost of a refurbished pixel (original) to the moto. Might need to pull trigger sooner than the refurbished pixels will be coming out.
They sold the Pixel for $649 retail (some sale deals from time to time also) and some carriers are offering up to $300 in trade of the Pixel for the new Pixel 2 which according to the release will still be $649 retail. Of course there are other sources for used or reconditioned phones. Prices right now on many sites for like new or reconditioned Pixels are still going to be $350 and up (depending on the memory, carrier, color and of course actual condition and what all is included in the package- original charger and accessories, etc.) Moto G5s Plus is under $280 ($229 right now on the Motorola site for the 32 GB entry model).
Just went from a GS6 to a GS8+ and love it. Finally a phone that comes with decent ear buds!

My "vote" goes to GS8+![]()
Wifey is ordering a Pixel 2, website says 5-6 weeks until shipping.

My Nexus 5x just got OTA Android 8.0.0, Oreo. I turned location on to see how fast it drains the battery.
It has been overnight and I am at 70%. That's an improvement.
In other news I see that there will be a lower priced Fi phone coming up:. The Moto X^4 Android One. $399. Why couldn't they make their own Pixel Lite? Or make the Pixel cost less. And why aren't other manufacturers making Fi compatible phones by the dozen? Sure, Google now has its own phone so it doesn't want the competition. However, before the Pixel there was a window of opportunity that was missed.
Google doesn't make their own phones...yet. They are leveraged HTC, LG platforms. Moto in a couple designs but oddly never had Moto make a phone for them when they actually owned Moto. Only after they sold them to Lenovo. May have been due to the design cycle and when they could release.
