You can still see the pile and the crown, all the debris is smoothed over though. Maybe it'll show up again after a couple weeks of melting.

Fun day in the alpine. Heads up on slopes getting cooked by the sun. Shaded and northerly aspects are holding good snow. Snow pack in the mid elevations 3-5k are undergoing the isothermic mush transition. Higher than that is still more winter like.

    Skin track stoke!

Pair of 184 legend pro riders w/ PX 12 at shoreline goodwill for $25. Good sized core shot and repairs along one edge, but a good spring rock ski for someone.

Looks like our wx was better up there today. Warm, barely any wind until at the top of the Roman Wall, no clouds.

Goddamn what a sweet rack of creamed corn days.
Perfect conditions with clear freezing nights and warm days producing choice corn; seemingly rare for us huh?

Better than the usual isothermic sodden blahs.

Crustal->Central->Alpental->Crustal and every day was blazing fine.

Good to see some of ye auld hotdoggers at Crustal slamming bumps on Sunnyside.

1st mile (500 ft of vert) is dirt. I'd go soon to keep the approach reasonable.

    Same post on TAY...

A friend and I rode sleds from 29 Pines to Esmeralda on Friday afternoon, parked at the summer trailhead and skinned to Longs Pass. We set up camp and enjoyed a cold beverage during a fantastic sunset.

On Saturday, we descended into Ingalls creek and found a good snowbridge crossing, then cramponed up the Cascadian (in excellent climbing conditions) to near the false summit.

We pondered the final pitch to the false summit, but passed it up due to warm sun and worry over wet-slidiness during the descent. In hindsight, we should have continued to the true summit and skied Ullrich's later in the day, as did Good2Go's party of three, but we had not planned for it and thus did not take careful note of the route beforehand.

We skied the SE chute all the way to Ingalls creek in wonderful, fast, smooth corn... somewhere around 4500ft of vertical.

After refilling our water bottles at the creek, we skinned back up to our camp through Turnpike basin.

Three splitboarders arrived at Longs pass in the evening, after skinning ten miles up the Teanaway! They were fairly cheerful despite the slog, and wasted no time in descending to Ingalls creek.

We saw them Sunday morning hauling ass up the Cascadian to the summit. Strong crew!

On Sunday we skied a morning corn run into Turnpike basin, then returned to camp to pack up.

To return to the snowmobiles, we skied the south facing slope from the high point just west of Longs pass.

I hesitate to even use the term "free beer" on TGR due to possible ramifications, however against my best judgement I am advertising just that. We are having our customer appreciation party tonight at the Spokane Alpine Haus from 6:30 - 11:00. We'll have beverages, snacks, raffle prizes, ski stories and by far the lowest prices of the season on anything in the store. If you find yourself in the area stop by and say hi! 2925 S Regal Spokane, Wa 99223

Hope some others were able to make it up there.

Yep...was there, too. Fabulous day. Late April pow is nice, but that 9" felt really sweet in some wind loaded pockets.

Any chance you were skiing BG's today? Saw a pair outside Pacific Crest lodge late in the day and thought they might belong to someone here.
