I'd be understandably upset if I dropped $400 on a season pass only to find out that something that happened a year ago at a completely different resort led to that pass being pulled via indirection through a common parent company.

I think this guy is beyond the point of being mad about it anymore and is genuinely amazed at the level of effort someone is willing to go through to react to what was a reaction to their misguided initial ramblings.

I wanted to fix my situation, so I did. Your pal could too for whatever motivation. Up to them.
Innert00b kvetching won't solve anything; face to face might.

A couple of rippin chick friends from Bozeman joined me on this most excellent ski off the summit of Adams.

A few points that the photos might not cover:

    * We were able to drive to within 10 minutes of Cold Springs. Bring a chainsaw or winch... lots of unstable burnt trees ready to block your ass in.

    * Snow is in wonderful shape for the most part, except for the top 1000 ft or so which consists of blue water ice nodules. Not worth skiing at this time.

    * We bailed on the SW chutes due to painful boot issues (and not wanting to make the long traverse on her weighted sore side). The Crescent Glacier was a fantastic substitute.

    * We skied without trouble back to the trailhead.

It was so good that I had to go back up to the Lunch Counter the next day. Lots of folks out on Saturday.

    Cheers,

    ~ Scott

Scott, great pictures. Definitely made me jealous as mowing my lawn did not match up to your climb and ski!
In drove this drunken madman and stopped on a dime! Unfortunately the dime was in Mr. Rococo's pocket!

fiddler, norseman and oftpiste were meesed for the crustal closer.
No freeze up to 7k the night before made for sloppy slurphiness by 1:00; a decent end to a decent year of lift served skiing in these parts of the PNW with a bunch of the lot 4 miscreats like Alpentalic, -h-, flowing alpy and q, JT and A as well as the Crustal irregulars like the PNWbrits and scotsman50s.

I really wanted to go but the 360 mile round trip with $4 gas would have been about $80 so a $110+ day soured my enthusiasm. Maybe I shouldn't have looked at the bank account first and just gone ahead! Anyway, glad you had a good closer. Just remember, Summer Solstice is coming soon which means the next ski season will be on it's way!! That's what I tell my non skiing friends and then they look at me funny.

I had a good time sliding at the southern resort today. I swear there's more snow in GV than when it opened... they could pull another 1-2 weekends, easy. But, like the elk, we must continue our migration... Interglacier looked real nice from across the way, but 2.5 miles is a long walk to the snow.

Man, I had the damndest time yesterday morning, sick as a dog, tired as hell after two large days in the hills, trying to convince myself to drag ass up to Crystal to party and shred with you crazies. I did not succeed, and I regret it!

See yall at Silver Solstice, hopefully.

albeit nowhere near as rad as taking hot skier chicks to mt. adams, I did have a relatively amazing day on the interglacier on saturday. an early start scored us 1.3 laps in perfect corn all the way to the flats where it turned into sticky death mush. no action pictures, since stopping is unacceptable when its that good.

So glad you caught that on film! I only witnessed the aftermath of one soggy dude sliding into the liftline at the bottom of GV

It's not a competition, it's not linear, but it might be well odored.

    Ha!

The best option would have been... to not blow off Z-Bo on his invite to the Interglacier and do both!

Sorry dude, I wanted to join you, but there was no way I could have made the drive after clambering that big pimple. Plus, I had no phone coverage with which to respond.

    Anybody skiing this weekend?

10 times out of 10 you made the right decision. in no way did you flake on me or my motley crew of herbaholics. probably more of the same this weekend since that side of ranier seems to be the closest high elevation skiing around. maybe the fryingballs glacier instead.
