KH was sick today, deepest inbounds turns I've ever had. Thanks for the turns mags!

Now, if they would just clear the rockslide off the highway, I could get home

Great skiing at KH, even got to meet time2clmb, would have like to do a lap but I was fried by the time we met.

Any idea on how to get a Sit Ski into Feuz? The roller coaster traverse would be entertaining and not for me.
Is there a way in that would not require a traverse or a Huck into the bowl?

And how does one get into Superbowl I heard there is a cat track to it??

You guys are awesome, keep it up! Here I thought I had been doing a better job of being less of a dick as of late and actually posting some semi-useful shit.

As a long time lurker on TGR i obviously misread the overall forum once I actually joined a little over a year ago (too much jong slaughter, downbound train, etc). The introvert that I am had a field day for a while and I obviously pissed a bunch of you off. I do apologize for being a dick. It seemed like a good release which I now know should be kept to the Riverhouse. Time2climb called me out for being a douche and how I make the generalization that every one from the city is a GSA (for lack of a better term) in addition to the fact that everyone had heard enough out of that shit out of me. This was a tipping point in my line of thinking and the way I conduct myself here. Thanks T2C! We're all here because we love to ski, I was a dick, got called out, changed my tune. Take it for what it's worth, I did.

As never riding a sit ski here's my 2 cents:

Feuz- I imagine if you could hit the traverse after a fresh groom which would get you to pole 10, otherwise it's traverse.

Superbowl- There is a cat track from behind the Gondola along the edge of bowl over towards terminator peak. There is a groomed cat track around terminator peak but it is mostly flat/slightly up with one last steeper up at the finish. For a skier it involves a lot of polling, skating and side steeping at the end. The bowl itself is quite flat through the bottom with an uphill to exit.

You should be able to use the cat track, it gets really bumpy with new snow, especially wet snow, but it's groomed in the morning. At the end of the cat track is a saddle, and that's a pretty simple line into Feuz (no rocks to avoid, no cliffs, etc). More complex terrain all around it, but it should get you going. When it's groomed, the only issue with that traverse is its width really. If you can maneuver well enough that the width isn't an issue, then Feuz is yours.

The only way that you could get into superbowl is using the cat track that goes around the back of T1. However, that cat track is not at all simple, plenty of skating and sidestepping required in places. Right before the bowl, there's a hill that's probably 15-20* I think. So definitely not easy. The terrain it gets you to is so little vert before bowl bottom, and it gets tracked pretty quick. It's pretty similar to Bowl over in terms of what the terrain is like. The terrain off T1 and T2 is really what makes superbowl worth it, but it's a hell of a bootpack.

Saw you when I was in the lift line, looks like you're stealing all the face shots

Got some pretty epic deep turns in some trees today, met up with some mags. T1 N opened up just before the end of the day, dare was effing epic. Rumour (patrol) has it a new piece of terrain will open up tomorrow. I ain't telling you what, so don't ask. Should be pretty easy to figure out.

edit: also big thanks to the dude who wheelied down show-off, fist pumping. Got my stoke going

Estrogen I don't think so. None of that around the house and I don't eat that much chicken. Perhaps it's the nirvana I've achieved during these latest storm cycles. I simmered down and the fire got restoked, it was time to put an end to all this nonsense and put it all out there as well as apologize for my rude behaviour. I have no shame in that.

Thanks for the info, I got into bowl over today some great skiing tough getting out, out riggers hate snow. I heard they are grooming the traverse by Fuez I will look out for that.

I have my sherpa's (Dad and Brother) coming out to join me on Sat and Sun if they don't ditch me I will try some more terrain.

Oh face shots all day long when you are a few feet off the ground and the ski acts like a plow when it get deep it gets tough. but I had a huge smile all day long.

@Joe Strummer, yup that was me dam winds I so want to get into the chutes.

I am on a little tour 2 days at Castle, 3 days at Kimberly, 2 at Pano and 3 at KH to finish off I am getting angry emails from the wife

If you see me at the gondola feel free to ask for change and join me on the way up might save you 5-10 min in line

Not Lufftski's aggro ski slicing arch-nemesis. It makes him SUPER PISSED

Made an edit from today, super pleased with it. Everything just worked perfectly, and required no actual work to make it all fit together perfect. And it's happy, very happy

You were ripping it up pretty good.
I was with wifey. Was wearing a loud yellow Pataguchi jacket as it warmed so much.
Wind tornados on alpine were fun to watch.
Semi on it's side at the Turtle Mountain slide pullout on the way to Fernie was a shocker.
Will keep an eye out for you.

Have fun on your southern soujern.

    T2C brings the stoke!

Wild west was skiing nicely today, missed the dive opening . I have 10 days off coming up with my kid brother, sister and my parents all shralpers so il'l be all over the map the next ten days. If any one sees a guy ripping harder then anyone else on the mountain dressed in an outfitt that looks like a pack of highlighters bucaked allover him. ask for change.

Going to do a few days at kh, shine, louise, revy and just watch the others for snow.

38cm of snow in 24 hours. Bluebird skies. Deep turns all the way to the bottom. (Basically) no tracks. And a song that fits it perfectly. What more can you ask for?

T2C awesome shots! It really was deep. Such a good day, so much stoke all around. And great meeting a bunch of you guys and taking some laps, one of the best inbounds days of the season.

    Nice edit.

Reminded of that first run down the lift line, which was only trumped by the first lap in fuez. I haven't stopped smiling all day!!

Nice pics T2C, amazing to have have inbounds turns like that all day! I have to say that this is the first time your pics made me smile thinking back to the day instead of cringe while sitting at work

Haha... I haven't seen it, but that's my happy place... not sure I want to share that with the world.

And T2C, I'm smarter than I look, when I say the road is closed I mean it! Wish I could have got a lap in with you gents today! Such an incredible day. My lap in Superbowl was the deepest I've ever skied it, even when it was out of bounds....
Flying the Bluehouse colors in Western Canada! Let me know if you want some rad skis!!
