My sister in law lives in Cranbrook and posted a status update thanking the snow gods... I was confused until I read the last few posts here. Looks like an awesome day in Kimberley!

    Sure!

If you will be there Thursday night then I'd probably come ski Fri and Sat for sure, then maybe Sunday if the weather is good or else have a leisurely drive home.

I am punishing myself listening to these all time best days at KH over the last few weeks though...
The advice given is dead bang on. Mine was 2 broken heals and a Surgeon that said I would be lucky to walk normal again. I'm happy to report that is not the case. As soon as you can get active.

I don't know how this is even mathematically possible, but another top 3 day today...that's like 6top 3 days now in the past couple weeks. Silly shit, this little boy is fucking stoked ya hear.

Eldo, type in gopro polarizing filter, or gopro neutral density filter in to the google machine. One of the sites sells 3 for $10....i'm probably going to order one up for mine. Anything like that should work just fine.

Or just buy a Drift HD instead.

KH on Friday on our way out to the interior. Anyone wanna meet up for turns?

Anyone know of any Sled skiers in the Nakusp, Galena bay, trout lake area? Wanna hit up some of the terrain on Saturday/Sunday. Looking for some location access advice. Maybe even a bit of a guide?...
    Man, It was great...

I might be at KH on Friday pending snowfall. Problem is I probably won't know until the reports come out Friday morning, unless it's putting up numbers on the plot late in the day and after ski hours tommorrow...will keep you posted.

Anyone want to pm me with some Fernie tips and stashes please? I've never been there before and will be by myself, and I have no idea what to check out. ww and red are my home mtns, so obviously I like trees but would like some open stuff too if there's any fresh, or whatever is Fernie's thing. Also like straight fall lines and little hits/drops. Looking at the map, the Timber area for trees? Is there a prevailing wind at Fernie that tends to load certain areas?

I might go to Castle for Saturday morning too, so any Castle tips would be awesome as well.

    Thanks!
I'm riding in Fernie all week, so if you want someone to ride with, I might be able to give you some company. I'm not a local, but I know a bit about the area and maybe you can help me look for said stashes.

that might work. I made a call to the place I'm staying and I might have another buddy too.

I just spent 45 mins studying a google earth map I found. yay! I hope it snows/gets colder/gets windy- the freezing level for thurs sounds kinda crappy.

    ^^ The map from Craig's?

Snowfall warning today for the East Kootenays, 10 cm so far. Then looks like spring weather arrives on Sunday.

I'll be there, as usual, but I'll be skiing with my momma. Yell if you see me; who knows, a non-young-whippersnapper who rips might convince her to start rippin' too.

Headed up towards Canyon Creek yesterday with a buddy and some beers. It's a really cool place, definitely recommended. We also headed down into it and up the other side, pretty fun.

well geez fernie doesn't have a recip deal with red staff so I'd have to pay full price. bummer! anyone know where I can get a deal?

yes, craig's map. love it. bear and boomerang chairs, is that where I want to go? first tracks in a bowl then go searching? I'm not used to more than 2 chairs to pick from, haha.

what's the wind scene there? their snow report isn't the most informative. How early are people there for first chair?

eta- oh yeah- snowfall warning woot! (please don't close pass, please don't close)

No because everything will be closed and the monetization of the Breakfast Club means everything else will be schralped before you get first chair.

Sorry but Fernie is pissing me off for anything else but family groomer skiing.

Castle hopefully will be the shit if the temps don't get too high.

usually for underexposed pics -- yes, but when your whites are blown and overexposed there's not much you can do. i think eldo's suffering from too much sunshine, if there is such a thing

As mentioned, with blown out / overexposed highlights you can't do anything in post. You can turn the brightness down ect but it still looks like blown out garbage. PM me your mailing address...

Try Soul in Banff on Bear street.
