    Unreal.

As of this morning, the Tanman's unofficial (read accurate) snow gauge will be burried for the first time since 97 and only the second time since the mid eighties.

Dam, did a nice video edit from Tuesday with some perfect music, but it triggered all sorts of content warnings and basically could only be viewed by people who live in North Korea or Yemen.

Anyone know if Vimeo (or its detection bots) is a bit more lax on the use of music? I'm all for content rights, but using a 40-second clip of a song in a video that 5 people on TGR will view is not something I feel bad about.

Great morning today. Love being able to come home for lunch and sit by the fireplace and check out TGR.

    And Shadam is alive!

    Thanks, F2F.

Vimeo even has a tutorial on the proper export settings for the ancient iMovie HD which I still use because some later versions were dumbed down too much.

Exporting a new version of my vid to try on Vimeo, since I was using way too high a quality before. An 8-minute 720p was 440 mb, excessive, no?

i had a copy of iMovieHD for the same reasons -- you could split a clip, etc. the latest iMovie brought most of that back in. still requires some learning, but i've gotten used to it and finally deleted iMovieHD couple of weeks ago. this is a shame because I had a plugin written for it (did timing for our karting laps back in albuquerque) and the new iMovie doesn't allow plugins. my labours are lost

i don't know if 440mb is excessive, but 8 minutes sure is. the attention span of the intertubes is sub-3 minutes now, and getting shorter still, i'll watch it and reminisce about the days when my ski hill was 10km away and was closed on weekdays. when I could go out and do this on my lunch break:

Oops, will work on a 2:59 edit, but for now I want to see if maggots outside of Cuba can view it with music intact.

Yes, being on the hill has got me spoiled. Also loving all the glades and hidden tree skiing at the hill. Locals go out in the summer was chain saws and cut lines here and there, not something a person could do at Louise. I've found some of the ninja trails and P.Blz has shown me many others.

    That's looks awesome, Eldo!

And I'm sure if you weren't like, 7 feet tall, you would have gotten some face shots in that camera.

So does it bug anyone else that Kicking Horse thinks this is grammatically correct?

Every time I check out the snow report I wonder who approved that and I think they aren't very smart. (It's the comma.)

    Best. Wedding. Ever.

3/4 of the guests at the service were wearing ski boots.

I personally liked it when that 3/4 of the wedding clicked on their skis following the ceremony and followed the bride and groom charging down CPR! Wrangle the Chute had nothing on you guys.

Mruta, I see you're at the top of the day 1 Wrangle leaderboard. Wish I stuck around to watch your run, must've been sick!

Sorry I jamed on you guys. Ended up heading up to Parkers and just had some quiet me time and recaliberation. Not a single other person up there and phenomenal skiing conditions. Yep, should def. ski there (KH) more, now you know why we're always going on and on about it.

    _______

Some really really scary "violent" whoomfs today BTL Thought the one Sentinel whoomfed was an avalanche across the valley it was so fucking loud and "gunshot" sounding. Best Rockies tree skiing ever today, hopefully no guidebook ever get that area in it. Had no idea tree skiing can be that fucking good around here.

Roommate and I are skiing Castle the next three days looking for leftovers and some new storm snow. All blue with 196 Lhasas or red/white Hellbents. Ask for change and we'll go troll some school groups.
