Anyone skiing the lake tomorrow, looks like we got a couple real fast snow squalls that left about 4 inches tonight. I'll be going up glacier around 9:30-9:40 red jacket red pants

Spooky - I hear you, Dive proper tracked, totally clean lines under steel pipe and G6? Crazy... Star$$ was fun too...
It was Starbucks I was hitting up but you're right about the steel pipe area too. I can kind of understand some people's reluctance to venture too far into Starbucks as it's generally rockier but it's not hard to get an idea of which spots you need to look out for and then turn around the rocks. I suppose it's a viscious cycle that keeps the snow better for those willing to ski there though - less skier compaction keeps it a bit rockier which in turn puts people off skiing there.

As for recommended paths Wheeler's (far right) is the most mellow so a good one to start with. Peyto's is a narrow rock walled couloir, steep at the top but nothing particularly tricky. Luxton's is a super sketchy and high speed straightline. Engler's has a small mandatory drop exit with a landing that's usually pretty firm and bumpy. Once you get through those cruxes you can traverse hard left and get back to Goat's Eye but you may as well just enjoy the tree skiing and link up with the ski out and head down to the base.

I'd be happy to show you a lap or two if you're around as i'm up there a lot- bright yellow pants, Bent Chetlers if you see me.
I will keep this in mind and possibly send you a PM next time I hit up SSV. Thanks a lot for the info and hopefully I'll be able to take you up on the invitation sometime.

Lake was awesome. Hit 7 opening again and then went and hit WH2...first few chutes were already seeing traffic but still lots of fresh to hit in between when we got there.

Minus the fucking gong crowd of Calgarians from last Monday / Tuesday....ahhhh...back to normality. More in the forecast too LMAO wooooot.

I want her to have fun out here, and KH really must suck if you take the cat track to crystal bowl, then find a run down, every single run. My question is, would she get more out of a BMC lesson, or a TLC lesson? It's mainly about building confidence and showing her how to use her current skills on more technical terrain.
    BMC for sure. PM incoming.

Probably, we parked at the gate for a bit and waited for 7 to open...worked out great.

Riding some where, just not sure where yet. Usually make the call in the a.m. based on snow fall.

Would any Canmore mags be able to do a brother a non-ski related favor on Thursday?

Best day of the season at Kimberley! 23 new by 7 a.m. And snowed about 5 cm/hr all morning. Skies now starting to clear up, but maybe much more on the way later in the week.

I hope some helmet cam footage works out, but might just be a white room blur.

Hit some *item removed* stashes at *item removed*....ho-lee-fuck *giggity* Also inbounds was constantly refreshed and put the small over night snowfall to shame. It nuked off and on and was really really really fricken windy when the squalls were moving through. Huge facials. Really deep drifts after the first wind blast, refreshed lines...wow.

I would just like to thank everybody who waited in the gondy line instead of scralping up Pioneer, and then dutifully left the gondy just prior to opening to check out Pioneer.

First time I've ever said this, but BowlOver was properly deep. And everything was made of pillows.

So...I was told (indirectly) the following today which I found fucking hilarious given that I have pretty much sacrificed everything for a continued life in the mountains, career jobs, lots of money, a lucrative offer to stay with a previous company, a couple friendships etc..."real men work, and little boys ski". Well, fortunately for me, i'll keep being a "little boy" while you "man up" at the office. Insult fail. Also, resort access skiing totally sucks, and is not worth the time. Yup, the endless lift accessed skiing totally sucked. ....And thus completes my promise to get back atcha for hassling my last seasons week miss

On a serious note, today did not suck.

Had the deepest inbound turn of my life in bright blue sunshine this afternoon at KH. If not one of the best pow days of the year, the company certainly made it the best ski day all year. So much fun! So deep. Skied fresh lines until 4.

How was the Lake? Have to be there for work tomorrow.

^the wind and snowfall kept almost everyone off of the platter. 7 and paradise closed for a while also. Virtually no one was skiing the back and the wind was hammering alot of snow on to the back side + the snowfall....ghost town. I don't think it will suck tommorrow that's for sure. Might be a delay getting things open due to control work I would think. Even if it didn't snow I think it would still be awesome just from transport, but it did snow combined so....

Will probably cross paths at some point tommorrow.

Who in the world said that? Couldn't be a maggot, nothing but us irresponsible skier boys here on TGR.

Not going to say but I will say it made the gaper quote thread, and the person will read this LMFAO. Ahhh some times it's just best to just not talk excessive shit. I recall the warning last year that there will many many many days where I will be skiing when they aren't and that they shouldn't rub it in.

A friend of mine needs to contest a speeding ticket, but she can't make it to the courthouse on Thursday. She needs somebody to go in and request a change of date in person.
