20cm's in 3 hours! Today is going to be a great day, not that the whole week hasn't been. Might hit that record sooner rather than later if this keeps up! Woohoo.

Fernie is reporting 18 cm but cryptically saying spring skiing on lower slopes, variable on the upper mountain.
15 cm here. I'll see if I can ski today without ending up in the emergency ward at Cranbrook Hospital.
Weird, but there is no snow in Cranbrook and the local golf courses are starting to green up.
Spring arriving in the valley while it is still winter at the hill is fine by me. Looking forward to mountain bike season starting in April at low elevations, rather than June around Banff/K Country.
Wrangle should be a good show this weekend.
My buddy picked a good weekend to get married at the EE. Pow turns after the ceremony.
Is that Nathan and Lindsay's wedding?
Cool, I'll be the guy standing up front making it all happen. lol
Not a man of the lord, just a man of the government....
KH open one more weekend, Apr 13/14/15.
Wow!!! Marmot was unreal this morning!!! 15cm reported but skiing more like 20-25 cms in Charlies Bowl and up on Cornice. Little busier than usual as there is a race this weekend but those kids could barely make it down to the race course so they weren't really in the way. Quite entertaining though watching them flail. Easy to tell who the top 10 kids will be as they were shredding fat pow on their 1000 $ race skis. Good skiers are good skiers and wind loaded powder seperates the weak from the chargers pretty quickly.
A bonus of having so many stick dodgers up at the mountain is one of our side stashes with a traverses out is on the other side of the training run. Most people assume its closed but there is a entrance gate hidden from plain view so it really slows traffic to that area.
Typical Marmot pow day with not many people competing for lines. I love this place. No one is aggro at all and powder days are not like a feeding frenzy at other resorts. I let 3 people go in front of me on a traverse cause I know they aren't going where I am and there usually is lots of room.
Ended the morning getting face shots on the lower mountain right into a freshly groomed park where I couldn't help but hit the pristine booters. I will be sore later but its so cool to be able to ski fresh at 11:30 and join the rail kids for soft landings.
Great day... great little mountain. I love it here...
Doesn't look like I will be skiing Kimberley this winter but I will be mountain biking... I rode one day there and it was super fun. Rode from the nordic trails back to my bros place in Marysville. Don't remember trail names but I think I ended up in the Nature Reserve? I will be asking you for some beta this spring.
How was the fresh snow soup at the hill?
Neighbours said the snow was great just a short way up from the base, which was crunchy from the rain. I decided to give my kidney a breather today.
Yeah, I've mountain biked a little here, so many trails to explore. I've heard about some great flowy trails near Cranbrook that should be good to go as soon as the rain stops down there and it dries a bit. Of course that won't happen until the powder stops here at the hill.
I always pictured him as the head of the "Highway 1-East Welcoming Committee".
Well my crying has allowed me to have one run on Saturday then its unloading trailer and hooking up washer/dryer. Almost nothing left in Calgary other than dust bunnies and dog hair.
A weekend of pain for a lifetime of gain!
Heading out the door, in half an hour for 5 days, going to be in whistler by Monday, but trying to figure what to hit Saturday and Sunday, thinking that KH will be a complete zoo, so considering heading to marmot, haven't been for years and the snow pack this year looks tempting. So how are the crowds on weekends?
well Mrs DougW is full time as of April 4 , I'll be split until March 2014 with just a room in Calgary to sleep in Monday-Thursday. Even leased a Taco for the Golden- Calgary commute.
Skiing Monday at KH - maqybe big dumps or supermojo - black jacket with green pits supper banshees orange boots

I'll be in Fernie all day tomorrow if any TGR'ers want to ski together. Look for the gaper in vibrant green jacket, black pants, white goggles and backpack.
