30 dead Americans now, unknown amount of hostages.

Doesn’t matter what you or I think, I could be lobbing all kinds of bombs myself right now in poly ass, and I’m sure this is the beginning, , but the whole thing is sad. Not to mention, how bad this could spread. Our service personal at risk all over. But I’m not about to tell another country, that’s received 24,000 rockets, indiscriminately, how to protect its citizens, and I think they’re done appeasing the intl community anyway.

That IDF spokesman, said “every member of Hamas, top to bottom, is a dead man walking”

Gnar, is all I have to say.

I went to a pro Israel rally tonight. It was interesting on a bunch of levels. They had some good speakers including our congressman and President Clinton. It was good to hear from a guy that left DC a few hours ago and seems to give a shit and Clinton had some good insight on the PLO > Hamas transition. It was also deeply emotional. I'm glad I went. I might go to a few more.

I don’t have the background to know which of these statements is true, but I do fear it’s the latter:

And it’s this shit, going on for years, that’s the root cause of the discontent.

Not condoning Hamas’ butchery, at all. But I can see how easy it is for them to channel Palestinian rage for Iran’s benefit.

The Israeli government’s policies for the last 20+ years have failed to keep its citizens safe. Bibi needs to go. Hopefully the voters there will see a need for change.

About the Wall Street Journal article saying Iran helped plan the Hamas terrorist attack:

The White House also said earlier today that they had no evidence that Iran helped plan the attacks. (Which is not to say Iran was not involved in any way, because they are funding Hamas.)

FWIW, Hamas is saying publicly they received support from Iran, not that Iran helped plan the attacks. Iran also denies helping plan the attacks. Ghazi Hamad, a Hamas spokesman, told the BBC that the group had direct backing for the attack from Iran, which pledged to "stand by the Palestinian fighters until the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem." Iran's foreign minister also met with Hezbollah and Hamas leaders over the weekend and posted pictures. During the meeting with Hamas the Iranian foreign minister praised the massacre as a "historic victory" and agreed to "continue cooperation."

I doubt the Palestinians will get much financial assistance to help rebuild. Maybe China throws them a bone to curry favor with the oil rich sheiks.

I know there are plenty of Jews on the board. I can see it in your posts. The holocaust and Shoah are heavy. I sympathize.

You don’t have to support Hamas or hezbolah. But at lest see the other side. Shits complicated. And frustrating.

It's never a bone. More like a white elephant infrastructure project on a loan that can never be paid back. Then the project gets repo'd. Ask the Nepalis about their shiny new airport in Pokhara

Watch this interview with one of the survivors of the music festival (celebrating peace & love btw). Glad he survived, but man. He's gonna have some serious PTSD from what he witnessed that day. Poor guy.

Agreed 100%. But... this was the US playbook for decades...get them tangled into debt to you and make them dependent.

I don’t give a fuck if you want the tiny hat. Why were they so angry there?
