    Great day at Fenway today.
The NLMVP crushed a 2run HR Over the Monster before jogging out to play his second position of the day.
Dodgers get the W, family had a blast
Hell yeah. Fenway is a special place.

Man, it’s painful watching the shell of a person he’s become. Hope he can get on somewhere and figure it out.

thor’s done and sevy is still in the rotation despite being twice as bad. their careers are eerily similar with cy votes early and then nothing but injuries. sad.

The Mariners now have the sole lead in the AL West. The last time they were sitting in that spot was August 24, 2003. I can't believe the tear they've been on.

I bet my friend in the beginning of the year they'd best the Angels of South LA California and appreciate the opportunity to gloat about something. lol.

"I’m not trying to take anyone’s job, but Peterson is an example of someone who needs help with the mental aspect of the game. I don’t know if the Mets have that person. That’s what I’d love to talk to Steve about. I want to be part of the Mets the way Pettitte is a part of the Yankees. Just give me the chance to make these guys better." Doc Gooden over the weekend

“Looking at it, it’s a last-place team against a team that’s in contention. They’re just trying to ignite something over there… Not worth our time at this moment. We’re focused on bigger things right now…”

    Yanks and Rays got chippy.

Rays patted their heads and tussled their hair verbally in post-game comments.

As A-a-ron says, he's got a dugout of fuckin' savages over there. I think A-a-ron is just trying anything to keep his job at this point.

Hat tip Twinkies, especially given the reference to the Miggy square off at his last appearance at the Jake last week.

Despite the score tonight, Josey is the champ.

What the fuck happened to Acuña in Denver last night?

At one point that looked like it had to be scary for him. Glad it wasn’t a Monica Seles situation.

Severino responds to my taunts with 8 strikeouts in 7 scoreless in a pretty meaningless August game otherwise.

Can the Yanks lose enough to get Cash and Boone fired and demolish the 30 something year 500 run?

Probably the same kind of person that videos someone getting beat up or robbed instead of doing the right thing by either calling for help or intervening. Gotta get those likes.

Taunting is a time-honored method of motivation and has proven to be quite effective.

    I think.

I'm a bit worried because it seems impossible for them to keep up this tear they've been on.

I also feel a little sorry for Jarred Kelenic who was finally putting together a decent year until he kicked a water jug in frustration on July 19th and broke his foot. At that point the Mariners had just lost their last two series. Since then they've won all but one series. The guy seems a bit fragile psychologically, so I hope he doesn't think the Mariners success is because he was out of the lineup. He should be back next month, so I guess we'll see. When he's bad. he's really bad.
