Tim Anderson wins the clinically un-self-aware award for his statement after his suspension was reduced to 5 games today.

Compare his statement to José’s statement when his suspension was reduced and you’ll see the difference between a baseball player and a chump.

Josey apologized instantly, to the game, to his teammates and even tried calling Tim Anderson and also publicly apologized to him... for a fight that Tim started.

Tim on the other hand apologized to his teammates and organization and then dropped a big ol "but" and then blamed the Guardians for saying mean things to him. Didn't mention Josey at all.

    Nice work Jackie.

    OFFICIAL 2023 MLB THREAD!!!!

I honestly thought Tito’s “boys will be boys” comment was all that was really needed. Things got heated, everyone took their suspensions, and that should be that. If Jose and Anderson need to work anything out between themselves, fine, but no need for anymore public comments.

Agreed. Tito, as usual, is the best.

Josey said his peace after the game and then kept quiet as he usually does. Not sure why Anderson waited till now to pipe up.

That said, if that radio call doesn't get Tom Hamilton a spot in the Hall with next year's Ford C. Frick Award, then something is wrong with the world.

MLB says Sunday’s game will be rained out by Hurricane Hilary. The Dodgers and Marlins will play a split doubleheader tomorrow.

He should fire his agent that allowed that photo shoot. Sets him up for nothing but mockery.

Dodgers are playing a double header today to avoid a rainout on Sunday. Does this technically end their 23 year no rainout streak?

Ooooh. I didn’t get the significance of Woodsy’s post earlier. Yeah, def counts as a rainout. That’s wild.

^^^^could be foot of rain in mountains! I'm a little concerned about wind speeds, but rain amounts in San Diego city should be ok.

First game (Padres) taking all three kids (8,5,2) was Sunday, now today! Wish me luck. 5 yo put on her MT Griz shirt having been to a few Griz home games, she thought this was going to be that :-)

Manny enshrined in the Guardians Hall of Fame this evening.

Look at that fucking lineup he was a part of. They averaged like 8 runs a game at one point. Fuck, I’d kill for that again.

Kids had fun at game, was nice that it wasn't crowded, so they could roam around and less intimidating. Youngest 2 took off for the park at the park 8th inning, but oldest sat with me for the very exciting bottom of ninth inning. I blame hurricane humidity for Soto's walkoff grand slam coming up short...or like I have been saying, time to dump Soto.

Will be interesting to see reorg after ownership spending so much money and getting such a disappointing season. I know attendance was up, but guessing it wasn't enough.
