FYI; we (FD) do not perform this service, as cats eventually find their own way down, as per exactly what happened here
we do NOT have gear and experience to fight angry cats high up in trees (ok we have ladders but who doesnt)
Sorry to disappoint, but... we don't do it.
Not all cats find their way down. In general, cats are idiots (hilarious idiots though). This is footage from my wife's parents house in Oregon - the damn cat first climbed up 20 or 30 ft to the lowest branch. Tried to get up there with a ladder and he climbed higher. Sat for a day or two, so they called in a friend with a bucket truck. Cat climbed higher. Ended up at the top of the tree - 100+ft up? They had to track down an arborist who was willing to climb all the way to the top to get the cat down. I think the cat was up there for 3 days?
I know that cat!!!! It ran across my ceiling after I stupidly tried to pill it!
Nice, it climbed like the Ibex i saw on Planet Earth last night. Those things are unreal.

So I guess both the cats are tree climbers. Today they were both up a smaller tree.
Their litter mate/sister was adopted by the owners of Denali The Adventure Cat

I didn’t know that adventure cats were a thing but apparently they bring the cats rock climbing, paddle boarding and hiking.

we have that same post from costco
Might have been here where I saw this originally, but this account is pretty rad. Even the cat.

cats are such weirdos. I really want one but 2 pets are adequate for now and my little dog is kinda like a cat- he rubs under our legs and likes attention until he doesn't
