Good dense snow. Bouncy, spongy, and kept you off the bottom on almost all aspects I skied at Alta. One spot way at the end of yellow trail had some scratchy bumps, bit the pow between was sweet. Suzie's tress ftw today. Catherine's and patsey were great as well.

Needed a day like today. New snow doesn't get much better. Not too busy. I get so frustrated at snowbird sometimes, but then a day like this happens and bam, it's worth it

Springfrwrd for the win! Got up to brighton for NIGHTPOW! but it was still daylight and dumping. Multiple laps in wren hollow and rock garden sofaking fun! Later did a couple laps in the park on the fishstix. Holy smokes that was fun! Today gonna be awesome!

Decided to go up to Brighton Yesterday after I saw a nice band of green/blue for at least 10 hours on Wednesday. Tons of fun. Lapped untracked on Milly until 12:00. Unfortunately, I will be leaving the area until the 25th so you all can expect major dumpage going into the latter half of next week.

Ho Lee Fuk that was a great run.
Skied little Superior this morning. We we're thinking superior but partner forgot skins and didn't have enough time. Superior looked pretty busy too. Snow was great but dry loose sloughs were common on anything over 35 degrees (saw a solo dude ski the upper section of 2 Trees with no slough though). It was fun skiing but more difficult to stay ahead of sloughs given the quanity of rocks I hit and the lack of confidence to ski the fall line fast(due to rocks and not wanting to take a dinger with slough behind). Using the ridge to an advantage was key. Pics to follow.

Go get it before the sun screws it (might be too late)

Skied great mostly, little thin and rocky here and there. Weaving thru big ass debris below the waterfall was easier than expected.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 17-18

    Nice shots!

I’ve been slammed at work the last few days and must have missed seed the forecast. Didn’t even realize it had snowed until I got in the canyon on the way to Brighton, with kids in the backseat. It was a good day, but will our kids ever know the sacrifice we make for them on pow days?

I’m kidless tomorrow and am hoping not a lot opened today at Soli.

No wait, no accidents and no ditches observed when I went up at 745 & went down at 1130. Although I did a gnarly fishtail exiting the B-right-on loop, got sideways, then kissed teh snowbank.

Agreed. March '18 for the win!

The Bird skied great today. No canyon drama to report. Looks like a LCC closure tomorrow AM. Can't wait for that.

Same here, hit the LCC at 7:30, minimal traffic. What did suck was getting to the tram line at 8:00, four rows back, solidly on first. Sit there for an hour watching early ups go up, multiple laps. 9:00 hits, the line starts moving, about 30 people get through, they stop the public line and at least 50 people went through the side gate. Red light. Fuck. Still had first tracks out on the Cirque, but it still irked me.

What the hell? I'd be pissed too. On thrusday midday got stopped at the gate. Counter said 71. Then a group of three black pass folks walks thru a minute later, followed shortly by an instructors group. Are they now not only cutting the line but reserving spots?

Those came out great, thanks! What a surprise this morning. Deep everywhere. I rode until 2, jumped off a lot more stuff. I had a couple landings that were full over the head bow wave. About 1:30 they closed milly bowl after some morons hiked above the traverse to almost the bottom of elevator, kicked off a decent sized slab, and it ran across the traverse and hit a couple people.

Bcc road obs are interesting. Wasn't slick at all going up around 8:15 and just wet going down at 2:15, no traffic issues either way.
