I think one of my new kittens may have this - yes it says the average age is 15 but still it seems on point for his sudden bizarre jumping and running around like he's scared. When it happens I notice that the muscles in his haunch twitch. Originally I thought it was from the vaccination he just got - an injection site issue but after reading this I think this might be what is going on. Anybody here have a cat with this issue?

It’s not my mini-me, right???
LOL!! No... it's cute little Milo. Not that the Nut-Meghan isn't adorable herself.
It's not like he has an epileptic seizure. It's more like he'll be sitting nice and calm then suddenly he jumps up and darts off and when he stops running he will look all around him like "who just did that?" as if he's been pinched/bit/something. At that point I'll notice his muscle twitching and he generally doesn't want me to touch it. After a bit of dashing about he will calm back down.
I first noticed it the evening after they got vaccinated (two vacs - one in each hip) but then I had been watching them pretty close as I'm am a bit paranoid about adverse reactions to vaccinations so it's possible he was doing it before the vet visit and I hadn't really noticed or if I did I chalked it up to normal kitten exuberance.

Still fighting the sinuses... but, that is a good looking cat.
A bit but I'm not sure it isn't from playing in the litter box (dust from litter). He LOVES the litter box (ugh).
He does have ear mites. I need to treat him with Revolution and though he's reached the minimal weight required I'm still waiting for him to get a little bigger. My vet suggested using a partial dose but I'm erring on the side of caution. I do clean his ears regularly.
That is Marty(Max is sitting behind him). He's the runt and was the one who could barely open his eyes when I got him because they were so swollen . Sometimes the discharge would be so bad that when he woke up from a nap he couldn't open his eyes because they would be crusted shut. Poor little bugger! Despite it all he's really scrappy and the most curious/active of all the kittens. I call him the flying squirrel because he loves to run across the room and launch onto me (ouch!)

You should call him Rocky.
Our new cat has been awesome. She's decimated the local mouse population - fun and smart(er) after a few adventures.
The litter box is stinky- even in a drafty cabin. Can I get rid of it? Put it in the wood shed? If there's a kitty door to go outside will she use it for the litter box? Even with daily cleaning it- whew it's a nose full.
Fun PSA: I'm getting some t shirts made and a transparency fell on the linoleum floor. The cat when crazy pouncing on it. That guy looking to invest in the other thread ought to look into cat toys.

Picture or new cat doesn’t exist.
I scoop my cat’s litter box twice a day (morning & evening) and replace entire litter every few weeks.
Also replace her litter box once a year.
Doesn’t smell in our little apartment.
How often do you scoop and replace litter?
Every morning. I guess I never thought cats ate so much. Lotsa water too. She always taking a sip of water.
