I basically think you gun nuts (and you know exactly who you are), are basically fucked in the head. Insane. A mutation.
It's not spoons that you guys worship. It's not harmonicas. Nor baseball cards. It is the worship of something designed solely for killing, whether that be humans or animals.
And it's not even a SANE worship. I use tools. High tech tools at work like interferometers, chromatographic equipment, etc and low tech tools at home like sawsalls and circular saws. A good tool makes the jobs I do far easier. BUT I don't WORSHIP those tools. And even if I did, it wouldn't be weird...well maybe a little.
But worshipping a killing tool? That's just fucked up. I'm sorry. But you guys don't even seem to realize how touched in the head you are. Get help.
That's all I gotta say.
EDIT: Just read Conundrum's above post. He seems one of the sane ones.
Sorry if the above post seemed a bit abrasive. But events like this, and especially Sandy Hook even more, get to me. I realize that most of you have as much to do with an insane mass murderer as a weedeater has to to with an International Harvester combine, I realize that most of you, like Conundrum, take care to keep your weapons secure, and endeavor to go about your sport in safety.
But I would like to get into the head of a gun enthusiast (there, I didn't say gun nut this time, so there is hope), but damn.. it's really hard to do. What makes you guys tick? What is it you love so much about guns? I actually WOULD like to know. Is it pulling the trigger? Something deeper?
I don't know. I guess maybe I'll never know. See, when we played cowboys and Indians, I was ALWAYS the Indian. (Shoot, I guess that kinda makes sense, eh?
