Well, let's say that the shooter is one hundred yards away. Who do you want pointing that rifle at you? A pissed-off Marine, or digital death?

Stupid question! Of course DD would somehow end up shooting himself in the foot.

While I would personally prefer a dsa Fn-Fal over an AR, there is a reason the AR is still in use, and used by many foreign special services that have a choice. Not sure, but maybe even the legion.

    My answer is AR-10.

Haha, yes, "who" is a much bigger question than "what caliber".

Yours may be too.

I assumed my gun was the "Brescia" model for a few years only to find out that's where it was made. I have never seen another one, including on the internet of my model.

Mine may be a pre renaissance elite model.

I shoot pheasants with it and some trap. The gun is absolutely awesome.

You have this model I assume.

That's the one, thanks for the insight, looking forward to killing some birds with it this fall.

My lunch today. They let me run it on the range in full if I can keep it on the paper at 75'.

That 5" barrel can breathe fire.

my paws m16 with a sabre 5" upper

Its really controllable for having the barrel of a 1911.

I ran magpul, colt, hk and sig mags... zero failures.

My V53 had a bad day and went back in the bag.

I have 3 high powers and put a new grip on this one that has a ton of work done on it. I don't like it. The P30 shot better.

Do you ever get any tumbling rounds with that 5" bbl? Must have a fireball the size of a Volkswagen at night. We had some Micro Galils with 7" bbls for a while and they were blinding at night.

Micro galils are sick. The recoil isn't that bad.

The pig break pushes the flame and concussion away from you which makes the flash a little more dramatic.

The sbr fal and sbr hk51 are blinding.

I haven't seen any tumbles on paper yet but I don't shoot it over 100'.

    GUNS!!!!!!!!

They Galis were fun for sure, so little recoil but had some tumbling rounds and parts were tough to find sometimes. The rounds were tumbling inside of 50 on one of them. We switched to these. Very happy now. This was the day the cans showed up. It was like Christmas.

Put the archangel stock back on the M1A, thought I had the scope nailed down but it shot loose and was too far forward anyway. It still could come back a tad but I can live with it for now.

More range time in mah future.

So, I'm looking for a carry .45 that is also (relatively) fun to shoot at the range.

I'd prefer DA/SA over striker fire for CC. Shield .45 is (obviously) a great gun, but striker fired, as are the Glocks. Considering a Sig 220 (or 320 if someone can talk me into striker fire), but.. then I saw this

(Seems to me like the best carry .45s are from Para Ordinance or Kimber, but both are big money) I've fallin in love, but its $1200. Could buy 4 shields for that price.. Any advice?? Low round count (<200), trigger job and bbl recrown. Night sights, 2 tone Cerakote, and VZ slim grips. Aluminum frame... should I???

There is no such thing as a reliable compact 1911.

    Why 45?
