Bob Kroll's totally not racist, former director on the board of the Police Officers Federation of Minneapolis, Rod Webber in action:

Webber: "Plain and simple if you fuck with me I'm going to break your fucking legs before you get a chance to run. Be honest, I'm not messing around."
17yo: "Who said I was going to run? I'm trying to be officer friendly right now"

<< 45 minutes later the group of kids is let go with no arrests. of course, this is after a full vehicle search >>

    http://cbsloc.al/1OTJtV7

In a shocking turn of events, Kroll supported Webber despite the public video:

Minneapolis Police Federation President Bob Kroll said Webber “is a highly decorated 25-year veteran officer. The board has to review and consider appealing. I believe the board will ultimately appeal the termination as it was unwarranted.”

Kroll says there was more video from the incident that won’t be released until all the Federation’s appeals are exhausted. Experts say it’s hard to judge an officer’s actions in a 30-second video clip.

    "Allegedly"

Can you tell me why I am being arrested?
    Because I feel like it.

Don't mess with Mohamed, you'll be in for a paid vacation.

Highly decorated = reinstatement and then some.

Gang clothing styles can be easily detected because of the specific way gang members wear their clothing. Examples are preferences for wearing baggy or "sagging" pants or having baseball caps turned at an angle. Gang members often prefer particular brands of shoes, pants or shirts. For example, some gangs like to wear plaid shirts in either blue, brown, black or red. These shirts are worn loosely and untucked. Gang graffiti, symbols, messages or gang names can be written or embroidered on jackets, pants and baseball caps. Other identifying items include belt buckles with the gangs initials, key chains, starter jackets (team jackets), and red or blue bandannas commonly called "rags".

    "keychains" lol

It should be clear by now that the cops have no intention of changing their ways, that a high percentage of cops are racist thugs, that they believe that they can get away with it and almost always do, that most people in this country support what the cops do and are more afraid of black people than of the cops, and that as a result this country is a lot closer to armed insurrection than most people realize. Witness the recent brawl in Sacramento where armed protesters took on a neo-Nazi rally and a knife fight ensued while the cops looked on. It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better--if it ever gets better. 50 years after the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act we may have a black president but black people are more of an oppressed underclass than ever. Again from Sacramento--a diverse, liberal city compared to most: http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/article88688602.html

Really interesting Malcom Gladwell podcast recently about how when a society first includes an excluded group, Obama, first female Australian PM, etc. the populace generally becomes less tolerant of that group.

^ +1 for the good guys

    http://www.democracynow.org/2016/7/1...e_filmed_alton

JOEL PORTER: Well, they violated his rights in many ways. First of all, Mr. Muflahi was only an innocent person, a person who witnessed a horrible killing. He was illegally detained for six hours, four hours in the back of a hot police car, was not permitted to go to the bathroom. When he asked to go to the bathroom, he was escorted to the side of the building by a police officer, where he was forced to use the bathroom in the public’s sight. He was not allowed to go back inside of his building. His business was commandeered for at least six hours. He was then taken down to police headquarters, where he was once again detained illegally for two hours behind closed doors. This is not the kind of activities of how a police officer should treat innocent people in society. Once again, he’s an innocent victim. And my client believed that those responsible, Baton Rouge city police, should be held responsible for illegally detaining him, for illegally commandeering and seizing his building and the security equipment out of his building. And he just wants them to be held accountable. He wants America to know how he was treated. And he wants somebody to be held responsible.

JUAN GONZÁLEZ: And, Mr. Porter, just to be clear, they didn’t merely copy the surveillance video, they confiscated it, right?

JOEL PORTER: They confiscated the entire security system.

AMY GOODMAN: The entire—the camera and the video footage?

JOEL PORTER: Without a warrant. They took the video footage and the equipment. What they did, they swooped down in an effort to control the evidence, in an effort to control the witness, in effort to control the narrative. They swooped down. They grabbed all of the witnesses. They grabbed my client, grabbed his cellphone and seized him. And that was, once again, in an effort to control the narrative of what happened. But they did not know that he had taped the killing. And had they known that, he never would have gotten his cellphone back. And we felt that it was important that America see the violence that black males face in this society.

Kills me that they can intentionally violate someone's rights and there will be no consequences for the officers or department. Tax payers will just have to shell out some more dough.

Seems conspiracy to tamper with evidence shouldn't be on the list of things for which cops avoid personal liability. I'm sure the tax payers will pay, too, but if they don't name the officers in the suit then all the smart asses who ask for badge numbers are really getting shorted.

The interview with the unconnected bystander who was targeted and arrested "for traffic violations" after he posted a video of the incident was equally amazing.

Cops have immunity. They definitley won't be held liable. At most they get a reprimand on their personal file. The cops who messed up all the evidence after the off duty Chicago cop went into a bar and beat the shit out of his girlfriend suffered 0 consequences.

I want to say they don't have immunity from crimes, but...
