Self defense?
I heard he baited the cop like the guy that dialed in a break in to have a cop come over in GA. Strictly tactically speaking, I'm kind of surprised there aren't more of these. Fortify the house, hold off as long as you can. Strictly speaking in battle terms, and I hope that never ever happens, but the higher ground, home fort, trick the enemy into coming to you... Something like that block on Training Day, can you imagine?
I certainly am not going to war with cops, and I certainly hope there isn't one, but especially with the former Marine that "planned it out", is that the strategy they taught? Maybe his tactical spots were taken by police?
Hearing people now claiming that they actually believe the Dallas guy was a hired hand from the Obama gun stealing administration.

Seems reasonable.
Philando Castile Had Been Stopped 52 Times By Police

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — When Philando Castile saw the flashing lights in his rearview mirror, it wasn’t unusual. He had been pulled over at least 52 times in recent years in and around the Twin Cities and given citations for minor offenses including speeding, driving without a muffler and not wearing a seat belt.
He was assessed at least $6,588 in fines and fees, although more than half of the total 86 violations were dismissed, court records show.
Was Castile an especially bad driver or just unlucky? Or was he targeted by officers who single out black motorists like him for such stops, as several of his family members have alleged?
They ticketing everyone in Minneapolis. It's sick

I could probably drive around with dealer name paper plates for 20 years and not get pulled over that many freaking times. Holy shit.
And I bet they were on a first name basis with him. Imagine that. 52 interactions with no violence and they just imagined that would happen this time.
Seems to lead a lot of credibility to harassment even if he did get citations. Can you imagine having 30 counts dropped against you. Sounds like he was their quota guy. "Can't make em speed, Cap." "Try hiding."

Back in 2009 a black contractor shot up my city Hall for getting 500 citations at his home. The city annexed this black neighborhood when they threw up a walmart and this guy was leaving his truck in his front lawn.
At what point do you realize the guy does not give a fuck and you leave him alone tobpay the first 100 tickets?

Time elapsed between the incident and publishing of the footage: enough time for the cop to retire with benefits.
A criminal investigation is being considered against a retired police officer after a violent Salt Lake City police body cam video surfaced showing him striking a mother, Michelle S. Anderson, while her daughter watches. The little girl watching the officer curse at and attack her mother was 9-years-old, KUTV reported. Michelle Anderson is now called Michelle Siguenza in some reports.

All lives matter, but some seem to matter less for cops.
In a lot of ways, cops are not that different than many of us. Having worked in IT my whole life, I've met hundreds of guys who become jaded as technologists, and who let themselves forget that the computer network exists for the users, not in spite of them. They get to feeling that their job would just be so much easier were it not for these people with their needs, wants, mistakes, malfeasance, etc. But IT is not computer science, and we only build.networks so that people can use them for reasons that are largely a mystery to the technical people. That dynamic is fine to some degree, but as soon as someone starts thinking that their system is self-justified, it's time to hang up the keyboard. No different with police. Police are there to protect and assist society, not the other way around. And when the cops start deciding that we're all here to respect their authority first, and to live our lives second, it's time for them to find something else to do for a living.
So your cool with all the whites getting killed by cops?
