Arizer solo should be added to short list of great portable vapes. Exceptional heat control and ingenious design make up for its hudgeness. Battery life is good and cleaning is non issue. Great for car or honeycomb hideaway unit, not so much in BC or bumping chairs.
Can be found for sub 150$

Geez.... ppl need to get a grip about marijuana. So many seem to think that:
1) No one smoked it before and now it's gonna be a free-for-all, and
2) It is somehow different from getting drunk in relation to public interaction (i.e. driving)
There is a lot of huffin' and puffin' about "ppl driving stoned". Oh my! Like they weren't already doing it. So make it illegal - test for it like blood alcohol. Incarcerate ppl for being behind the wheel and under the influence. That's what you do for alcohol, how is this different? Hell, on any given day I'd bet even money there are thousands of soccer mom's driving around hopped up on Xanatx, Hydrocodone etc. etc.
The other day my neighbor pulled into my farm to check out a load of hay I having delivered. I walked up to his truck to find that he and his buddy were drinking beers with empties in the console. Nice. Had him and his wife over for dinner a few days later and they started to go off about ppl smokin' and driving. WTF? The wife, who had been a major stoner in her youth and is now vehemently anti-pot, said "I can drive buzzed no problem but stoned... THAT'S totally different". Really? Maybe you only THINK you can drive buzzed because... wait for it.... YOU'RE BUZZED!
Hell, I'm no saint. Done my share of sinning behind the wheel and fortunately didn't get caught but if I did, well... that was my roll of the dice and I'm not so naive to think it doesn't happen all the time with a plethora of substances. Yeah accidents are going to happen but I'm willing to bet it will not jump a hell of a lot from where it is now. Christ... one morning when I was driving to work across 520 at 7am I passed a guy smoking a crack pipe. He had his arms wrapped around the steering wheel up to his elbows so he could hold the pipe and lighter in his hands and he was puffin' away. Ppl are gonna do, what ppl are going to do - pass the laws so you can punish them because you will not stop them.
Here is an article that appeared yesterday about the possibility of CA legalizing pot.
AP Interview: Feinstein says she hopes California will not allow recreational marijuana sales
Love this example of what could happen if you smoke and drive.... but wait a minute.... he was texting too so which was it?
WASHINGTON — Sen. Dianne Feinstein on Wednesday joined Gov. Jerry Brown in expressing skepticism about legalizing marijuana in California for recreational purposes.
The state's senior senator told The Associated Press in a telephone interview that one of her concerns is the potential for pot-impaired drivers to take to the road. Feinstein said she hopes California declines to join Colorado and Washington in approving the sale of marijuana for recreational use.
"The risk of people using marijuana and driving is very substantial," she said.
As a possible example, the California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal weekend collision in Santa Rosa as being related to marijuana use. A woman and her daughter-in-law were killed when a Toyota Camry in which they were riding was rear-ended by a pickup truck. A preliminary CHP investigation determined that the 30-year-old man driving the pickup was impaired by marijuana and reading a text message on his cellphone at the time of the collision.

Tune in next time for when I bitch about ppl saying "but it's not like the marijuana from the 70s - it's so potent now"

The issue is how to test the driver. CO has set the standard at 5 nano grams. Many people believe this is not a fair way to test for blood content due to the way THC breaks down in saliva.
With that said, it's always going to come down to the cop's call on if the driver is impaired or not from a field sobriety test. So really it should be a moot point.

I would never take a field sobriety test. The problem with the 5 nanogram rule is there is no scientific evidence that there is impairment at 5 nano grams. Chronic users probably have 20+ nano grams when they wake up. Hopefully someone will have the cajones and $$$ to be the test case and blow it wide open.
5 Nano grams active is the same for heavy uses and first timers.
Get a grip people.

EXACTLY! I had this conversation with those ppl (the open container drink while you drive ppl) I had over for dinner the other night. They refused to believe me and challenged me to send them proof. I sent them this from the Revised Code of Washington:
RCW 46.04: Pursuant to this newly created statute, DUI-D laws, the threshold limit for presumption of guilt for a DUI-D statute and subsequent charge is written as:
"THC concentration" means nanograms of delta-9 tetrahydrocannabinol per milliliter of a person's whole blood."
THC concentration does not include measurement of the metabolite THC-COOH, also known as carboxy-THC. First, the limit had to set, 5.00 ng, then they needed to define it in terms of measurement and therefore we also get a definition of THC and what it means. Once this was done, the statute simply incorporated the terms into the current DUI-Alcohol laws.
Anyone vaping shatter? I just picked up some nice Moby Dick shatter and have been trying it out in a globe chamber on my vape pen. Delicious and effective, but I'm not sure it's worth the trouble compared to my more compact and stealth hash oil pen vape that looks more like a bic pen.
I love Washington.
Yes, I think we have similar language in CO.
If you are stupid enough to drive that high, and fuck up bad (crash, hurt self or others) then need blood drawn, you deserve any punishment enacted.
Heavy users, especially edibles, Oil and other concentrates , make sure to take days, preferably weeks off the weed, seriously.
Heavy users especially, if you DONT take breaks, using weed EVERYDAY can force your body to develop some particularly severe physical dependency symptoms, which can be eliminated by periodic "weed fasting".
This type of dependency can manifest into some strange side effects; digestion issues, cold flashes, mental psychosis type episodes. We don't know everything yet, but caution is best taken. Seems strange, using everyday can cause issues, very few side effects from taking a break!!!
I am not saying people become "addicts" in the heroin vein, but it is a different drug, with different consequences.
It is not a cure all for everything, one thing moving into National legalization efforts that will FOR sure get overlooked.
It is great, but moderation is key.

I smoke daily, and drive 10k miles a year just fine. 1 ticket in the past 10 years, and I usually drive fast cars.
Some people need to take breaks, and some people like to smoke everyday. Depends on how your body reacts to it.
Occasionally I fly to places where I can't get a bag, and I don't smoke for 3-7 days. The only noticeable difference is I don't snack as much, and I usually have an extra beer or two per night.
I've been growing, and smoking heavily for 20 years. Casey Jones x Chemdog on deck.
I don't have a problem with drinking, or smoking.
But I do have a problem with mixing either one with driving.
I know you can drive buzzed or even fucked up and not have any issues...for a while.
It's just that one moment where you need 110% focus to avoid a crash or cyclist, or whatever. If you just blazed one, or drank a few, you will not be able to react with the same efficiency as if you were sober.
Most of us take driving for granted, but it is a privilege, not a right. And you owe it to other motorists to be at your best.
A reliable test for cannabis intoxication is going to be a major sticking point for recreational legalization...

That ladybug= so stoned right now...
Any of you ever vape serious swag weed?
Is it a different high that the old school way?
Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident
Well, then, I guess the real question is:
Does vaping change the high?
Can I do a 'lower dose' easily with vape?
Forum Cross Pollinator, gratuitously strident
Maryland just decriminalized weed for up to 10 grams. $150.00 fine.
I find that I can't get off nearly as well with the launch box as I can with combusting with a bat or bowl...
It seems like the onset is faster, and the high more intense with combustion.
Vape seems to creep up, and be way mellower. Sometimes preferably so. Duration of both methods is similar.
I don't know how "home" vapes with the bags and what not differ (Volcano). I gotta imagine they are a bit more potent...
I like the sound of the mellowness.

Yes. Agree with Merkin's notes and add that home units (vivape, dodo) deliver more punch, albeit not as much as combusting. The taste is arguably better vaping and you can get very specific with how much you're consuming. If you're going skiing for a day I'd combust. All day wedding party I'd bring a pocket vape. Not better or worse just another club in the bag.
