That looks like pretty fun surf. Have not been in this past week. I'm afraid of little bugs after it rains for the first time in over a year. Or real rain at least. Snow was fun. Glad you guys are getting a nice cup of juice down there.

That video is great. We have an ocean geyser that formed in a local drive way this past week from all the rain runoff and waves carving it out. I'll try to find a video and post it. It would have been cooler if Ma nature ha put it in the living room.

I did end up paddling back out while I waited for the GF to do an errand, so only had an hour, but got out there no issues at low tide and caught the 4th wave I stroked for! I really think it was the biggest one I've caught yet, though not exactly sure how big. I think 8-9 (10?) ft socal range. Such a rush...almost as big a rush making sure bombs didn't land on my head. It is amazing watching the ocean when the waves are that big just moving around you.

Hoping I don't catch any diseases now..we'll see

Happy to be back here posting. Good swell today. Surf a few miles from here on a long crappy point, so there were about five of us stretch along a 100 yard take off zone. A few less than the 30 or so sitting shoulder to shoulder at that good spot. Had just about an hour of water time with my son in school this morning. Most of my waves were so so. Buoy was 7@17 from ^290. Never took off on anything less than a few feet overhead. I'd say the larger sets were maybe DOH. So, bro calling it 5-7'. All in all, a tad bit much for the 6.0, but just a tad. Got one good one. Dropped in, and the first 50 yards peeled off fast at a good 4'OH. Did not think I was going to hang on. To the drop. Then the bottom turn. Then the section. But I came out, down and around the bottom, and started up the face and put a nice carve across it as the pocket set up. The next 100 plus yards were really just overhead surfing bliss. I finally kicked out, as the wave seemed to begin to back off, and I did not want to get caught too far inside. When you do, you really just want to point it in at this spot on days like this. Fighting it is not worth the energy. Got a few more and then went to pick up my kid. Best wave since January. I think.

    Sounds sweet

We had 4' @ 11 this am with light offshores and just one supper about an 8th of a mile north of me. 5 degree f air temp and 39 degree water made for a few chilly duck dives

Waist to chest with plus sets. Nothing big, but they were setting up almost too good. Love that.

    Weekend looking fun.

I thought it was feeling chilly here with 64F air and 54F water. Guess that is tropical.

Went back tonight. I have not had that tough a paddle out in years. A big set clipped me and forced me a good 100 yards down the line before letting up. DOH++. Glad I brought the 7.6. By the time I made it out to the line up I was alone. Grabbed two monsters, and decided to head in before it got dark. Did I mention it had some size tonight. So, so clean. WOuld have loved to been able to get a solid three hours in the water on a day like today. Can't complain though. I had two one hour sessions. And there was juice.

Dude. This thing is SOLID. It peaked at 9.9@17 on the CDIP coming from 285.

No chance to get in today but things should be back on te up swing Thursday.

March is typically windy and smaller and the snow pack it typically thick and starting to corn nicely. Been making plans for a bigger tour Saturday but am starting to wonder if I should be thinking of surf. Good stuff.

Nice, at least we have options unlike a few months ago when there was no snow or surf. Finally winter has arrived.

I told you this one was solid.

Got another hour window this morning. Not quite as big as Tuesday, but still overhead.

I didn't see it yesterday, but I hear today was a bit bigger. Anyway, precipitous drop from Tuesday's size. Still super fun though at a few feet overhead. Down to 12s periods and way more playful in nature, but it still kept some aspect of juiciness to it. So damn glassy they last three sessions. Today had lump and warble but it was still fun. Surfed solo for 45 minutes, along a couple hundred yards of point, then three more paddled out. I love surfing the spot that everyone knows sucks.

Pigs I douched my box. What's up?

Speaking of which, SoCal folks, I'll be in your neck of the woods in a month. April 6-12. I'll be looking to ski/surf 2 or 3 days depending on whats going. Let me know if you want to score some awesome shit. Basing outta Palm Desert, so I'm 20 minutes from the tram and 70 minutes from Trestles. Day trip to eastside is not out of the question. Unless you get hit with some cold storms next week, Tahquitz is likely out.
