Well, it's a little of both, but more work now means less work later, after it's all grown in and such it's harder to take out. The little tiny stuff that might have grown by late season isn't going to put us over the handlebars come Xmas should it get missed.
That and two points:
1). Scouting is also a big priority right now, both on the pipeline and on the tree lines.
2). Any opportunity to work on the hill should be siezed without question
So who's coming up this weekend? The weather should be great even for day trippers, should the time constraints of the weekend be too much to stay out for multiple days.

DW and I hiked Magic both days this weekend. We scoped and sculpted some amazing shit. Chilled w/ Speedfreak, BlueBird and Bumpskier Saturday night. The weather was tittyballs both days. We need more people to get in on the trailwork efforts next time though. There is a ridiculous amount of potential on that mountain.

Soakage aside, there is so much amazing stuff going down right now it's hard to contain myself. I don't want to get into it too much, but let's just say there's some reeeeeeeeeally big drops and a few multi stage rock bands that we're working our way to and through right now. Also the single coolest spot on the hill getting a MUCH needed cleanout this weekend was huge. I can't get its radness out of my head and I can't wait to get back up there again to finish up a few projects.
Right now, it's looking like the next organized trail day will be June 5th and 6th... Weather permitting I'd like to put it together as a top-o-redline camping trip as well so that should give everyone plenty of time to get their shyte together and not waste time and energy downclimbing and re-hiking the hill the next day as well.
Sign up for this event as soon as you know if you'll be able to go, it should be halfway between Ullrfest and prison work release, so good times all around. If you're coming, just copy and paste your name on this list...
