Hey guys. Sorry for the delay. Camping is fine out in the big parking lot. This time of year there is plenty of grass to play around on. Unfortunately staying in the lodge is not an option.

I am heading up tonight as soon as I can get out of work and can get my jamoke-ass friends to my house to pack up the winnie. I want to be there and before dark.

Yes, I'm bringing my skis, boots and camera just in case the stars align and stuff happens. I'm not even gonna say anything that sounds favorable because then it won't happen, I don't want to jinx it.

There's a guy who works on the mountain who was talking about bringing his bike up for a rip on the new features and for an opportunity to take some stoke pics. Pretty sure he'll have his rig up and ready for business so if you bring your bike you may have some good company.

Nihiles, just come up. I have special surprises for you, and the other day on the way home from a wake I happened to meet a few dancers at a bar in my town that are from right outside Londonderry so they might stop by to party too. Nice girls.

I borrowed a machete and have my hatchet so someone can borrow one or the other if needed. Hatchet is just always in the car uncle Buck style.
Pending any kind of epic failure re-plugging a hole in one of my tires tonight, I'll be there to help out tomorrow.

I'll be there tomorrow to help out. Only have a hand saw though. Should be enough.

Boston Mags...what do you think is better way to get to Magic: Rte 2 MA to 91N, or 89 in NH to 91S ??? I tried both ways last year, and it seemed close for time. And even if its a few minutes longer to take 89, is it worth it to avoid single lane slow downs on rte 2? Thoughts?

NOICE!!! Looks like we'll have a bunch of help! I'm leaving work now to hit the packy and the gas station and I should be leaving relatively soon! We will be in the back lot, past the lodge. You can't miss the winnebago.

I always take Rt. 2. I think timewise it is pretty close but I just like Rt. 2. The only problem with 2 is if you get stuck behind someone slow when it goes to 1 lane, but that is a risk I am willing to take.

^ also consider 2 > 140 > 12 > 103. Quite a bit of one lane however, guess it depends how fast you drive on the highways vs 1 lanes...

Epic failure confirmed. Tire blew out around greenfield.
Hope everyone has a kickass time and I'll be up next weekend.

Sorry to hear about your tires, yoda- that sucks... i had some vehicle problems of my own on the way home. Never a good time.

We had a great weekend up at Magic. Nihiles came down and immediately lost his mind and ran off into the woods. I heard him say something about the Gnar Whale before he disappeared into the brush but he had a shirt on, so i figured he's be fine. The man makes a hell of a beer!

No snow Saturday night, so we just hiked about 1/3 of the way up and had a safety meeting under perfectly clear, star-heavy skies. I never get used to the stars up there. They're better than TV. Except Dexter, that is.

I don't know how much wood a woodchuck chucks, but it is less than Kippy- that much we can be sure of. The man is a D-10 dozer of a human being.

The girl Nihiles brought was a trooper and a half! Little tiny trail runner girl who DID WORK all damn day! We were all clearing brush when she just took off running up the hill- she came back a half hour later, saying "nope, still not at my target heart rate!" as we were dying, it was amusing that this tiny girl wasn't even breaking a sweat. kick ass.

In other news, both of my friends that came with me left with new ski boots from Dick down at Snow wizards. Dick is the man. He puts bindings on everything. I think somewhere he has a manatee with tele bindings on it.

glad you guys are making progress with the widening of Magic Carpet. it takes many hands to keep that trail clear, and safe for all the kids that ski at Magic. These trail widening projects are just so important, and your dedication to the youth of Magic is heartwarming. Truly.

Hell yeah! Bringing my aluminum welder up to repair some snow guns for Jim. Which also means I can't bring my winnie, so I may have to, uh, share a tent with someone. Or something. Haven't quite figured it out yet but three things are locked in... 1) I will be at Magic Friday evening asap to weld and up the next morning to clear trail. 2) I will be at BD's Saturday night to party my tits off. 3) I will be in pain on the ride home. (but still might stop at Mt. Blow to ski- anyone else in?)

man if i had known blow was open i would have stayed the night and done that instead of trying to make it back for platts disappearing act. but then i couldnt have brought the girl and she could prolly give kippy a run for his money.

shes a machine and the great thing about those fit chicks is that they have no body fat to keep them warm at night and i am a furnace. they cuddle up even if theyre not interested.

oh and for the record my shirt was on because it wasnt cold enough for it to be off.

I'm fully confirmed for next Saturday. Is it ok if I show up around 9:30? I'll bring what tools I have, including various saws, clippers and probably a very dull hatchet.
