Pinhead, you're totally getting texts to ski at Hunter now that I know you'll drive for some hippie festival.

Actually, I hope that I'm working in some capacity for that thing, I want to earn a pass for next season. Remember to Bring some sticks so you can shred the gnar in the catskills high alpine!

P.S. How's the following weekend looking for Magic? Anyone have interest in that one or am I jumping the gun here.

Is there an access road to the top that can be riden? Wondering about the possibility of a bike up/couple hours of pruning/quick bike down scenario on one of those days.

Not positive, but I'd be willing to bet there will be a few people up that weekend as well.

Yes, there are traverse trails that provide snowmobile access in the winter... They're a bit grueling but you can make it up if you're one of those determined bike rider peeps. Whatever works for you works for me.

Powbmps, work road is to looker’s right of the trailside condos. Once on it it’s pretty easy to find your way up. Not an easy climb though.

Last year in my buddies supped up FJ. DO NOT try this, we had permission to take down some hazardous trees & these guys do this for a living. Work road showed several times in the vid. I can’t make it but hopefully you guys get some good weather. Couldn’t have been any worse this day.

I think we will be around June 5/6. Let's do this!

PS - Arewolf, Do Work...either of you leave a black soft shell here last weekend? Just found it in the dining room.

Powbmps...riding up the work road is tough! It's super steep and rocky (think softball size rocks, lots of them) in sections. I know a few guys who ride it but they are both like 5'8" and 125 lbs. soaking wet. Me, not so much.

So how would one go about finding you guys on the 6th? I should be able to get a few hours in, just need to know where to look. And I'm assuming loppers and a small handsaw would be proper tools for what's going on?

Yeah powbmps nothing big. If there's full sized trees down where we're cleaning, they get left for a chainsaw crew at the end of the season. This is for the removal of dead stuff that's been there forever for the most part. I use a very compact pair of loppers, a folding saw and my machete. Not much use for anything else unless you want to substitute the machete for a bat. Those pine stands have plenty of dead lower branches that need swattage.

Just PM me as the time approaches. As I touch base with Bluebird and figure out exactly what he wants us to work on, I will be able to better inform you about the plan. Thanks for the interest I'm really pumped to have such big crew this time around- Many hands make short work!

Aw, man... Sorry to hear that Rob, my condolences. Feel free to come up at any time should you feel the need to get away, I'll be here all weekend.

Anybody else's schedule free up some time? The more the merrier!

Gotta back out, sorry for the last second timing. Got a trip next week to get ready for and waay too many things to do around the house (like: put a floor in).

I'll definitely be up there sometime this summer.

I hear ya, it's cool... Catch ya next time and be sure to FB some pics of the floor work- I like to follow your progress dude!

To all that are coming, just meet at 9 at the base of the red chair Saturday morning. If anyone needs my phone number, PM me. I will be heading up there tonight to warm up and should have service. If it DOES go straight to voicemail, text me as I'm bad with the whole voicemail thing.

This is a longshot since I don't know who's on the board this morning, but I just saw on the news that there's a severe thunderstorm/tornado warning heading towards Londonderry for ~11:30am. I don't have anyone's phone number who's up there working right now, but if someone does maybe text them just to give 'em a heads up in case they haven't been following the weather?

When's the next time people are heading up? Have a few semi-free weekends coming up and would love to get some work done.

Doesn't sound like anyone is planning on heading up this weekend, but the Mrs. just informed me that she's leaving town tomorrow am & dropping my son off with my mother. This means I have approximately 26 hours to do whatever I want.

I'd like to hit up Magic and help out with some clearing, but if no one is going I'll probably just go golfing in Ludlow.
