That's even more proof. He's got an even worse record then the very bad one he got elected on in 2004 yet he still has the support of a THIRD of the country. That tells me that short of coming out saying that you'd like to nuke every major American city when you get in office you automatically have a third of the country on your side no matter what you do. You can throw another %20 on top of that who will stick red as long as you don't look like a disaster and right there is %50 of the vote. The Dem side is much the same way for a solid 50/50 split between the two, yet you have these two idiots somehow thinking that a landslide is going to be involved![]()
He was voted humorist of the 19th century, didn't U read spooks post? ....don't worry most people don't.
Obama is amazing, sure he doesn't yet have as detailed a policy or experience like Hillary, but neither did Bill when he ran in '92. Slick made up 4 it with his passion, great public speaking skills, empathy and a good amount of intellectual curiosity.
The crowds reaction when Obama speaks is so energetic, Hillary's by contrast sounds like a fucking funeral sometimes. all her supporters know she is officially screwed. ....until she pays off the 700+ super delegates (which is fucking discraceful 2 even have)

Here is a list of all of them. As you can see the real approval rating by the big respected pollers place his number between %30 and %35.

...Btw Root, nice try on that ridiculous site you used lol. "Bush's approval rating is %2! Look here! On this site I made!" lol
"A certain penache"? Obama is the most compelling public speaker since Hitler. And he's certainly light years past Bill Clinton. Bill has certainly helped his "wife's" campaign.

..and then there's her face. And her charming "personality".
Hey AJ, go to your local grocery store, and ask the first 100 people that come out of the store.
I think you would be amazed.

Good points hombre. I think it's different than four or eight years ago. You could be right though. I really don't think Obama will win in a landslide if that's what you are insinuating. I think it'll be close between Obama or Clinton and McCain.
So, MassLib lets say Obama gets the nod do you get on board and vote for him?
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that
I don't like correlating MLK with Obama (or anyone 4 that matter.)
He has a special place in US history and the equal rights movement(at least 4 americans with a conscience)
Yes, both men are black, and their word have moved grown men to tears, but Obama still has 2 prove he can stand in the face of corruption and inequality and take the stand MLK did
No, I asked YOU to go out and do it.
Seriously.
It would only take a bit of time, and would be all your own.
Go try it.

Regardless of Obama's platform and/or policies, or lack thereof, my point is that he seems to be winning over the masses. There may be some zealots in this country who are not ready, and will not give him the opportunity, to ever get elected. That is my fear.
For all those who are smarter than me, what would happen if Obama won the nomination and, on the eve of the election, something happenned to him. Who would step into his shoes?

I think I am the only one who 'got' your fear from the original post.

is my username massindependent?
Of course I work for him. I do think that he has potential, it's just that his lack of specifics and willingness to throw democrats under the bus troubles me. His first two years as president will be rough, just like every other inexperienced president's, and I am extremely disappointed with the direction he has taken on Health Care. But he's still worlds better than McCain.
Plus, he'll need some experienced field directors. His organizing ability has been fantastic in Caucuses, but somewhat lacking in the type of match up he will see in the general. I've already been offered the Job by the DNC, so I'm working for the D presidential candidate no matter who it is.
Oh please. His willingness to throw Democrats under the bus?
He has done more to build the Democratic party than the Clinton's have, by a fucking longshot. I realize you are on her payroll and all, but let's be real.
