I have to agree this way Marshal can simply ignore bad advice as opposed to getting into some "OMG markers rock" editing war.

Hey, I've skied in Scotland! Edinburgh, to be exact.
Last October on my way to Iceland I stopped in Edinburgh. Got up on the "slopes" at the Midlothian Ski Center. 100% pure astroturf, baby! Billed as "Europe's Longest Artificial Ski Slope." Despite having boots that were several sizes too big (and rear entry...plus it didn't help that I was wearing ankle high Smart Wool running socks) and ski poles that were cut in half, I did okay. That is if you discount the third run where I went from the tip-top, skidded my turn and promptly fell on my ass and into an unstoppable power slide, getting astroturf burns on my bare palms as I scraped and clawed at the green "snow." The kids in the terrain park got a good laugh from that one.
G3 - relatively neutral, somewhat less durable, somewhat sloppier than others, relatively cheap
also available in a tour version.
The only thing worse than the feeling that you are going to die is the realization that you probably won't.
Maybe some time for an update/new info?
Is there enough info/feedback about the args, or praxis to put them in here yet?
Also, I didn't see the Nordica Blowers mentioned anywhere. Anyone got any info about those? I know a lot of people like em, and they're cheap, but thats about it.
And it would be awesome to put a number from the "tgr stiffness scale" next to each ski. Theres a lot of descriptions of, "med stiff" etc, numbers would be more helpful. I understand that you haven't ridden every ski on there marshal, but maybe we could get some imput from others and get a fairly complete list.
Probably something else, but I can't think of anything.

what about adding Moment skis to the CUSTOM skis list ?????
By the new reviews coming in on the 'Toons, sounds like it may be time to at least take them off the "not recommended" list.
I had a pair of 183's.... If you like a soft, forgiving ski then this is it, similar to the line mothership flite. Great float for a 90 waisted ski, large tip 130. Turns on a dime, too turney for me though, they want to turn themselves. Very tough bases, squirley straightlining, stable in high speed turns though.
I partiallly agree. They are turny, but the joy of that is that you can roll them over and ride a hard carved edge for days. I disagree that they're soft. Not race stiff, but not noodly IMHO. Plenty of firmness for crud, plenty of width for flotation. I love these skis.
Anyone have opinions on Bomber Bishop Tele binding? I have some G3 Barons (sold to me extremely cheap) and was thinking of setting them up with the Bombers. I’m sort of new to tele…. skiing for that matter. My current setup is a pair of Atomic MX3’s and Black Diamond Riva’s, which, from what I understand is bottom of the barrel, but seem pretty solid over all kinds of crap.
I picked up a set of K2 maiden AKs and some Fritschi Freeride Bindings...I am new to this set up. I will do a lot of resort, and a lot of backcountry, but nothing too big on them...I have a choice to go with the freerides or some Rossi Scratch ti 140's. Any suggestions, input on this set up, and/or what I should pick binding wise?
I'd say capital stiffs are more of an 8/10 on the flex scale.
agreed and edited
Have you entertained the idea of adding ARGs and Praxis Pows to the recommended fat skis portion? Everything I hear of the Praxis says its a improved Spat, same goes for the ARG.
i have only played with a praxxis for a minute, and not seen ARG's in person.
i'll add the praxxis, but really have nothing to say about the ARG yet... maybe bossass or someone can chime in...
-lange 120 comp or 130 if your goin agro.
-raichle classics (i dont like em but some people will swear by these as their most important piece of equipment)
for a narrow foot langes are the way to go but overall the mag who posted that boots are a personal thing is talking with his head. its all about a perfect fit, then try to find a fit/flex combo thats to your liking.
FNG (f'n new guy) w/ a question. I searched the forum, finding little. That is evidence in itself that Extrem skis are not worth killing for. I bought a pair of 5x5's on eBay because it was late, they looked pretty, and it was $120 shipped w/ bindings. I must quit eBay.
I am pretty happy with my RD Coyote Heli Dogs I got on eBay. Frickin things look like they have never been skied! But still I have bought too much stupid shit on eBay to justify. But to the point!
I would be grateful for opinions, experiences, gossip, here-say, outrageous lies regarding Extrem skies. Thank you and I'll take my response off the air...
Hillshire Farm is sexy
Grab both cheeks and sink your teeth into the ass of life.
5x5's come in 3 different sizes 168 175 184 all have completely different dimensions i think the 184 is 83 at the waist
I think some one has a pair of extrem's on the board can't remember who though
elastic membrane???? don't know what that is about
that is all i know
marshall, good list, so not trying to be a tool or anything but have you skied the pontoon? Cause if you haven't, putting it in the not recommended list is a shocking call, a shocking call. I had one of the most fun days skiing in my life when i rode these the other day. It was 50-60cm fresh day, and they were so amazing, and if you can afford a quiver ski then this should definately be considered. The cap construction works fine, it keeps weight down so they are still playfull, and its designed to ski POW, hence not get particularly beat up. But anyway, thats just how i felt about them
Do what you like, Like what you do.
oo my bad, my mate was still signed in on our work computer, i didn't realise, i wrote that comment above ^
yeh i have seen the hellbent, it looks so sick, and so does the seth. Im not so sure if I'm going to purchase the pontoon now, simply because of the hellbent, but chances are i will and then ill switch out when I can get my hands on some hellbents haha.
Anyway, on this page there are some pics of the new hellbents and seths

Just went back and had a look as I was looking for more info on the Watea's.
But the Exploder and iM103's in the same flex group?
My 180 CMH's feel like noodles in comparison to my 193 iM103's. The sploders ar mounted on the line with Freerides and heads on the line with 914's. Are the 190 Exploders stiffer than the 180's? And are the 183 iM103's softer then the 193?
