hmmm wondering why the other dynastar skis are not on here.

personally i love my 8800's (well now they are called the mythic rider) .... so easy to ski and still i have not found a speed limit. i have no need for the legend pro.... just a want.

    Marshal,
I will be contacting Adam today to set a time to go meet him or whoever is there at Bluehouse to check out their products. I know Jared has been out of town a ton in the past month & real tough to get in touch with. May be why they haven’t responded, I don’t know. I will definitely remind them that they NEED to get in touch with you & get you some product, or at the very least, let you know when you can expect some skis at your door.

Thug and Big 125cm waist BD reveiw

Repost from Tech talk...A few words on new Big Daddies and Thug - I have skied both 10 plus days ( all days around norther Utah ) - New BD - Unreal in deep snow - not as stiff as last years ski but not soft by any means. Thug softer than BD but has a different feel than BD due to construction. I see a lot of talk about too much tail on Thug - When you ski this ride it does not seem to have too much tail -Very even flex on both BD and Thug - 190 Big Daddy has a 41 radius and the 192 Thug has a 40 radius - The new BD is much easyer to ski than last years BD.Smaller guys in the 150lbs. to 180lbs. range should love the new BD.The new BD is not as great a straight line ski as older BD.A little side note the 193 sugar will be the stiffest ski Atomic will make in the FFg line 129 tip 99 waist 119 tail with a 30 radius. Construction of new FFg skis - All new FFg skis are a new type of cured Densolite ( yes still foam )but this new prosses is more like a surf board blank that has been milled to shape. Results are a lighter ski with the same feel as older models. Also Thug comes in a 182 length 140/120/133 w/33 raduis.

Quick thing with the touring skis sec't: The Kongurs were the replacement for the R:EX/TM:EX, I think the Kalias were somewhere 'between.

What is the story on the Atomic FFG 14 binding? The ones with the sliding AFD and Automatic Toe Height Adjustment. Do they have the same problems as the orignal Salomon 914's with the toe wings? I haven't heard much after a season of abuse.

the FFG bindings are the exact same as the newest 914s (ie in the last 2 season). definately better than the old s914 red/black ones with a spheric AFD.

    Mucho grande

Great list up top. Big help for the upcoming 07-08 purchase.

I have printed it and I will be taking it to 4 seperate places in the Colorado front range to see if I can demo myself into some redunkulously perfect all mountain planks for my hefty frame (230 lbs at 5'11").

    let it snow.

Question for intermediate woman's ski- graduating up from her first ski, needs help making turns in trees, bumps and steeps. getting into the pow and still loves the groomers...just bought freerides and she'll be gettin on some hut trips and some slackcountry...

SO - K2 Lotta Luv and Fisher Watea seem to be the choices. Agree?

thanks, but the phat luv et. al are too much ski for her I think. she won't know what to do with such wide sticks without an intermediate step up. she needs a forgiving ski that can help her in short radius turn situations but also float in the pow.

check out the Fischer Rangi - 168 w/88 waist
    or the Mangua(sp?) - 159 w/84 waist

both of these skis would be suitable for an intermediate. They have the Rangi on ebay.

In the 70s, Dynastar Exclusive Legends beat the crap out of the Lotta and aren't subject to the K2 premium.

In the 80s, Dynastar Exclusive Legend Powders or Volkl Queen Attivas.

you just described the phat luv. easy flex (not as nice a flex as the aura but not as stiff either). the luvs have a short turn radius as well @17m (I'm talking last years 95mm waist - not this year 102mm).

my girlfriend has both phat luvs (tele) and auras (dynafit).
    loves both of them.

BTW, my wife's second pair of skis lifetime, after her (70mm wide?) Solly Scream Pilot 8Ws, was the 95mm 2005/06 Phat Luv. They made an excellent complement for a time, but by the time she was using them everyday, and avoiding the Sollys, I knew it was time to turn the Screams into rock skis and get her a new pair. She didn't like the Fischer AMC70s, but fell in love with the Dynastar Exclusive Legends. YMMV.

    Nordica skis.

Has anyone heard much about Nordica's line up of skis this year? I was planning on getting myself a pair of Volkl Katanas in a 197 but they ran out of those real quick, along with all the 190s. So I opted out for the Nordica Supercharger Blower for my Big Mt. ski, and the SC Ignition as my park ski this year. I hated Nordica skis a while back when they were still running their beast series, but they look a lot better since then. Anyone have some info about this, good or bad?

The ski front...well my list looks a lot like your stiff fatty list so it should be okay to just call those good
