you may want to tune the sarcasm meter to high.

anyhow, i'd say that unless you want a super fat twin specifically for riding pow switch, or are getting them for super super cheap, there are many better options out there. just my .02

whaaaaaaaaat?!?! Dudeman, go get a real job, 40 hrs a week minimum. This is summer, work yer ass off and cruise through the winter! No expenses, you could have whatever skis you want for next season...
    Drive slow, homie.

I'm a dishwasher. $8/hr. That's where the $100 came from, then $40 for the dog. Working all summer long as much as possible, and then splurging on a plethora of new skis is the plan. Although 2 skis might not be considered a plethora, its still good.

As long as you have those Jefe's in your paws by opening day, it's all good.
I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.

probably i've just missed something so apologies beforehand, but i'd be interested to know why pontoons are on the "not recommended" list. got mostly rave reviews from the maggots who've tried them. i've seen 1 pair being sold in gear swap though, but is that enough of a reason? no offense but the first thought for me was that "not impressed. so many better options" translates to "contact me and get some dps"

toons are reportedly not all that in crud and are reputed to really be a pow specialty ski. Huge tips = crud deflection.

"not impressed. so many better options" = sumo, big daddy, profit, dp, capital, igneous, birdos, kingswood, 4frnt EHP - ie. all of the skis recommended

the point is that they are super fat fujativs - poor construction and materials. 1/2 the depth of a screw hole is fiberglass and the wood is not dense. i have not ski'd them, but have mounted several pairs. honestly, I have absolutely no desire to. as LB stated, the huge tip is not designed to slice windbuff like a lotus or spat would. they are rather a deep & light snow specific design.

go re-read the reviews... less than glowing and not much mentioned following the initial notes, and one of the initial reviewers is already selling his pair after they fell apart on him after only a few days...

as far as the dp stab - i only offer opinions on skis i have ski'd or worked on. I did not become a rep of dp until after my skis were delivered and i ski'd them and was really impressed by them. I also rep other companies... most know which lines... and don't spew about them, unless i think the rec. is warrented. further more, i recommend many skis i have no affiliation with at all. i also make no money on dp's, but attempt to pass on good deals on sweet stuff.

Hold up -- if you don't make money on them, what's the point of repping them? Or am I just confused about what repping means?

    Sorry for the tangent.

Let's just say that Marsh's rep deal is above reproach on that front. He's good peeps and the suggestion that he's a shill for DP is total bullshit.

Word. He'll get you a sweet discount, that's the bottom line. At least cheaper than pontoons, probably (don't know what they're going for, but i imagine it'll be around 800+). And lb is sandbagging when he describes the deal as "above reproach"...it's better than that.

whatever dude, the only way that you can keep your credibility intact as a non-shill is for you to give me any dps that you get comped. :
