It's cool. It's not like you haven't fucked with us before, OBF!

Anyway, thanks for the info. Maybe see you at Loveland tomorrow. Look for the Praxis.

I'll be heading to wpk from Golden, assuming that Berthoud is open in the am. That said, it took forever to get from my parent's house at the mouth of CC canyon to Greguar's house near heritage square to pick up my AT bindings. It sure would be nice to try out my new Sumo's in proper pow conditions, though.

So you're saying that I should be at Loveland tomorrow morning? OK, sounds good.

Yes you should. And 8 and 4 were both $$$ so I can imagine they will be par excellance tomorrow.

Said friends just made it home. 7 hours from Frisco. The plow went off the road in front of them on 93. Oh yeah, full conditions!

We are giving it a go tomorrow super early. Hope to see you fools at Loveland.

I'll be trying my best to get up to Loveland tomorrow, taking the "backway" thru Broomfield/Golden and avoiding all possible closed roads. Damn I wish these storms would make it easier to get up there.

^I'll be there if they get the most, and at the moment, that is looking very likely.

Also, reported 4 inches of fresh at least at Breck, CSCUSA saying 1...

well, I just made it home a short bit ago (see about page 3 or so). Got to the airport about 8:00am today in an attempt to go standby on an earlier flight, and quickly got on the list for the next flight out to Chicago (from DSM). Found out my confirmed connection Chicago-Denver was already cancelled at that point (was cancelled at 6:30am...it was a 3:50pm flight). Called the airline to see about any other possible options....basically any flight getting in after 1:00 was supposedly axed or likely to be. For some reason, they confirm me on a flight through Dallas tomorrow morning. Great, like that's going to go. So, I skidattle over to the car rental. Only one agency has an AWD/4WD (I figure I'm going to need it/appreciate it once I get close to Denver) vehicle and will let me drive it one way without a huge drop fee. Hertz it is. Sweet, I've got a great little 5% discount card for them in my wallet. By 9:30, I'm on the road. Make GREAT time 80-76 until I'm about 60 miles out from Denver. Snow is picking up quickly, and accumulating quickly. Roads are getting dicey, visibility quickly dwindling. Other cars...well, being other cars. Conditions worsen the closer I get to town. Go through the fiasco of dropping off the car afterhours (didn't want to mess with heading out Pena), and make my way home. 70-470. 285 is closed heading into the mountains. Vis is esp minimal as blowing snow is on the increase along 470. Roads aren't too bad if you take it easy...but we'll see by morning. I wouldn't have high expectations for open roads...

What a long day. On 4 hours of sleep, drive 700 miles solo, when I've had a history of driving drowsiness (fell asleep at the wheel on a plains drive back in college...off the road at 65+...). By God's grace, I made it without any real problems. Good to be home...even if I don't have any food, and all the nearby store food shelves are bare. Seriously, the whole town must go buy even if they don't need it...

Gonna try to get to G-town, then Loveland, in the a.m. If I get there, I'll be on the board and lapping 8 nonstop.

edit... The idiots are making it hard for CDOT to keep the Hway open:

CLOSED WB I-70 at Morrison to El Rancho (MM 259-250) due to multiple accidents.

Glad you managed to get home bro - that's miserable white knuckle driving for sure.

I'll be checking CDOT in the early AM. If it's a fucking mess, then I'll probably try to earn some turns on sunday at berthoud and head home long before the masses.

Yea, what the fuck is going on?

Come to think of it, what the fuck is going on with this winter in general?

The PNW gets like 8 million feet, while montana was epic in early october, then went to hell. Tahoe might as well be in september. Denver gets like 70" in the past couple weeks, while aspen gets about a foot. I mean, wtf mang, wtf?
