    Another similar situation:

Two homies from SD on their way here right now. Flight from SD to Vegas was fine, but connecting flight coming in from LA then onto Denver is delayed because Southwest SUCKS.

Our condo reservation in Breck doesn't start until Sat night, so I'm praying that we can at least make it up by then, assuming they get here.

In the meantime, the wifey and I, and hopefully the two others, will go over and crash at my parents place in the foothills as my pop's new RMK was delivered yesterday! Time to tear up the neighborhood!
I've got more suits than Liberace, but less than Eastvailhucker.

yo Vish, assuming we can all get up there, we'll be in Frisco for the weekend, and the gf's friends have a place in Breck - we'll be out on the town in Breck for NYE...and I might (???) be able to get away to take a lap or two at some point on the hill... keep in touch once we're up there...

This may be beyond your comprehension (we are very advanced on the moon), but to me it seems like it would be easier to get to Loveland from Keystone than it would from Idaho Springs in this type of situation. It's dry where they are, making their drive easier until they get to the tunnel. Then they have to drive all of 5 minutes in the whiteout conditions. I would not estimate the eastbound I-70 would be ridiculously clusterfucked coming from west of the tunnel either. (Granted this all goes out the window of you start talking about Copper and WP). How far off am I?

Lone Star: been trying all week to get somebody behind my boat. My friends are being lame and working all day and night (I did that last break). So I come here to bitch instead.

LB: leave and gamble. Depending on how old you are, it can be fun.

    Take home message: Have fun.

Sometimes sucks? Remind me when it doesn't suck (sorry, but I'm a bit agitated right now).

I feel like I'm about to jump out of my skin right now. Ah, the irony. We were going to chase the snow this long weekend, but the snow came to us. Now, we can't get to the snow because, well, it's snowing. God does have a sense of humor.

max- It's way more complicated than that. I have a job that I can't just leave right now (although I don't have to come tomorrow and we'll probably be closed) but then leave for where? Scummit and use my basin pass and risk getting AB'd on the snow? or see if 70 opens and I can punch through to WP and risk getting eldora'd? Hold out for the AM and choose form the best with open but 18hrs worse roads?

Patience. It delivered the marginal gurge last thurs and the gurge last friday.

Besides, you've had no less than 3 days to group your poop throw down on a CC and hop a flight "home." No complaining now about the bed you made

The answer lies in the Loveland parking lot. With a wireless-capable laptop. My experience last upslope raging storm was that eastbound travel in the morning up until Idaho Springs was cake. Getting to Idaho Springs from the plains afternoon prior was absolute shit and hell.

There are terms in here I don't understand. But I have come to accept that such will always be the true reality. Git sum turns, man.

terms = 3 days worth of weather reports telling you to get your shit together pull out a credit card and fly to where two consecutive storms are pounding.

Also, loveland sucks that is quite literally the option of last resort, and one that I wouldn't attempt right now anyway since 70 is closed at G-town.

Just got in from Seattle at 9:00 am. We missed our flight last night and got on the 6:00 am flight. Thankfully we were called up from stand by because I would of not made it to Denver today.

Off to Aspen tonight! Anyone need a ride?

    Oh yeah, it's on again!

We haven't seen a flake yet. Inbounds is rock hard....

Then again, the forecasts say the dumpage is coming later this evening.

The gurge is now on in Boulder. Lets see if CDOT can get I70 open in the next few days.

Until then, those that are up there, enjoy. Those that are down here, lets keep our fingers crossed.
