    Wagon Stoke

Don’t worry boys when it hits BAT it’ll be straight , minutiae doesn’t bother me none.

Plus, it’s my parts runner at current , slowly rebuilding/restoring as I start to run it again; and - the immobilizer has been acting up lately ,so when I get left on side of the road in the near future I’ll be sure to take a look at the shifter know orientation, promise.

Winter is here so the E500 is back in regular service. It runs great! What an excellent car with 215k miles. For a few years it had been shaking under braking. I assumed rotors, control arms, ball joints. Nope, it was the worn out airmatic front struts. Both were replaced with original Mercedes and now, no shaking under braking or at any speed. As an interim solution, can you run an aux in through a CD changer port?

I did that on my 07 Highlander and connected it to a wireless Bluetooth receiver. It works great and would sound better than the tape deck.

    Fack. I want it bad
    But good for him.
Passat wagons in stick are hard to find.
    Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
    Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason

man, I had a Passat sedan stick with the VR6, if it was a wagon I’d like to think I’d still have it… still miss that car.

side question: I got 28.0mpg driving up to the ski hill; but 32.5mpg on the way back. anyone think that’s too much difference? adaptive cruise on 78 the whole time

Don't believe those computers. Not accurate at all. In my last Volvo, it was at least 10% optimistic. Acura was the same, VW was the same, Mercedes is the same.

At least the wagon looks good while you contemplate the effects of gravity.

I was told Volvo won't cover the work if the car has more than 100,000 miles

Will let you know if they charge me any money for work done

The dealer gave me a loaner for the three(!!!) weeks it took to replace the rings and various other items while in there. The car has been home for the past three weeks and it drives great, but the check engine light came on a few times. Going back to the dealer on Friday to have that looked at.

Haven't seen or paid the bill yet, but the voicemail from the dealer mentioned the split for the work was 85% Volvo / 15% me. They said my total was $950ish. hmmm

My e46 wagon is done. What (used) wagon should I get next for $35K out the door?

Have had a Subaru and 3 BMW wagons, but not averse to others.

I’d find an older one with a naturally aspirated engine and proven transmission. When I was talking to my mechanic before I bought the r-class (not his choice btw) he said no 4 cyl turbo’s from any manufacturer. Period.

Im a Benz fan so 2015/2016 w212 would be very reliable car and for that money low mileage and fully loaded.

I’d never buy an Audi but that’s just me and Volvo’s have turbos and CVT.

At your upper price range your into later model cars with more electronic baubles and turbo charging.

    Here’s a beauty:

I am a Volvo Wagon fanboy. While I like the looks of the newer Cross Country, the 4 banger worries me a bit. That said I would buy the last year of the xc70 with the 6 banger. Damn nice cars.

I keep having bouts of XC70 T6 need so I go down the rabbit hole looking at 2015s. Then I realize I don't need one, I need smaller with better mpg but they're so nice...

I was on autotrader last night looking at 2015 T6s. Those prices dropped dramatically since I bought my 2016 T5 in Jan 2022
