Shit I looked right past this issue, it's the PCV, sometimes called the oil trap. https://www.fcpeuro.com/Volvo-parts/...3616&v=125 I've had it happen to our T6.

I replaced the PCV system and did a motor flush when I got it, about a year ago. Mechanic confirmed that I did it right, and it is funcitoning properly. He flushed the motor again with liquimoly and said he got some pretty nasty gunk out. He agreed that pressure was the culprit for pushing the dipstick out...obviously, but wouldn't speculate any further as to what created it. He is solidly convinced that the moisture I noticed made its way in through the dipstick while it was pushed out. I put new o rings on the dipstick and drove it from MT to OR and back last week, no issues. Cool, I guess, but I'm still on edge about it.

And yes, Swedespeed has lots of great info provided by very solid minds. But for whatever reason, a lot of folks over there who don't have that expansive technical knowledge just default to writing about their cars in the same dumb 19th century tone as a Bring a Trailer listing, or drivel on about being a "steward" to a used car, which I just can't relate to and don't trust. At the end of the day, I'd just rather seek advice from the dirtbag who bought the dentist's car rather than from the dentist himself.

gotta love that goodie box from FCP euro

That is a lot of nice Liqui Moly goodies there 2MT.
Now, if anyone is in the market for a Family Truckster (without Honkey Lips badging), you are in luck:

Everything in Europe just comes off as so much cooler. Including 20 year old wagons.

Did APR stage [emoji637] a few months back. Did enjoy. Just loaded the high torque version because I guess I like to take chances. Butt dyno shows a notable difference.
Going for sway bar upgrade and then I’m stepping away from the credit card.

So uh, what are the best wagons made in the US?

My mom just rapidly replaced her low mileage older x1 with a PHEV and plans to sit for a little while before selling it to see how the used market changes.

It really needs a TCU tune and there are some cautionary tales with the high tq tune not treating the transmission well. APR themselves mostly chalks it up to a bad run of trannies that were exposed by the tune, but pulled it from the ultra link shelves because they didn’t like getting sued I guess.
So I ran low torque until now when I’m a gnat’s ass away from warranty expiration. If it immediately causes problems I figure I can still let Audi tell me to fuck off with my tune, but possibly let it slide.
Anyways. The tune makes it faster (surprise!). Low TQ was a little weird, almost like it let up at a certain point while the power was building. High TQ initially feels a lot more linear.
Just ordered 034 sway bars because I figure I don’t know where they’re made or if tariffs may apply, but the one place car part prices won’t go is down over the next couple of months.
My son wants me to add a spoiler and exhaust and such, and I told him I’m not trying to make it pretend to be an RS6. To which he replied: but what if it WAS an RS6?
He’s a terrible influence. Good thing it looks like Trump took that off the table.

Is the Mazda CX-thirty, a wagon?
This site is junk.
crab in my shoe mouth
No, a Mazda CX-30 is not a wagon. WTF.
When they killed the TourX you could pick up a fully loaded top of the line awd model for just over $20k - an insane bargain for a new wagon with years of warranty ahead of you. Shame they couldn't get the white blob crossover crowd to buy one every now and then.

What’s crazy too is theyre in the $18-20k range now with 60-80k miles. Pretty nice cars but I would have hoped theyd be cheaper by now.

That wasn't true in the northeast. I searched all over for one and they were selling above MSRP. Happily I waited and am still on my honeymoon with a 2017 M-B E400 wagon. A used TourX with 60K miles was way more than the E400 with 50K miles. Makes no fucking sense.
Where is the car? I was kinda looking at 2013-2014-ish X1 35i x-drives
