You'll miss some pep and driving pleasure, but then again: you're driving a body-roll-mushy Outback. The Wilderness trim package, speakers and extra 1" of ground clearance is nice in concept, but provides minimal functional benefit.
Solid take as well. I just hate under powered vehs on the highway.

I really don't get the love for them.
I think what you’re missing is that in spite of being ugly, they drive like shit and are unreliable, too.

    It’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru.

Big no to lack of power. I drive about 150 miles of one lane each way and if you don't have the power to pass quickly you better be sedated.

2026 Outback. Just a rendering, but looks pretty close based on spy photos.

Bummer, if that's right, they're going full SUV/crossover. Am I going to have to buy a Euro wagon for my next wagon?

Would certainly narrow the gap between Outback and Forester.

Agreee, I already consider the current Outback a crossover personally. At least you can get a turbo but not a fan of the wilderness color schemes with the gold accents. Trashy.

That's not high mileage for that B9. It's a great car with a lot to like. If you plan on taking it to 200k then be ready to have a budget for all the usual engine items, plugs, coils, seals, thermostat, water pump, and of course a Stage 1 tune.

I took my B8.5 over 150k, and while it did consume a quart of oil (likely piston rings, but I wasn't about to find out) every 1,000 miles at the end, it was a really fun, reliable quattro wagon. I have to assume a much newer B9 allroad will be better in most aspects (except no full-time 40/60 bias quattro ).

No shortage of good preowned Panamera Sport Turismos available out there. If I was in the market for a car, I'd seriously consider one of the final (for now, its Porsche after all) longroof examples.

Hmmmm..... That would be SO rad. BTW, here's one in your area I happened to come across. You know, just in case you're up for an impulse buy.

The only gold on a Subaru should be champagne wheels

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

    80 grand. Fucking hell.

Edit: just checked for the original MSRP. About $60k back then, which would be ~$120k now, so you’re saving a bit by going used I guess?

Probably better served for the wrenching thread, but the new to me Volvo has already blown a left front wheel sensor and the heat just stopped working. VIDA already paid for itself with the wheel sensor diagnosis so thats a win. Think I'm going to haul it in to the dealer for the heat as I've bled the coolant system and the thermostat seems to be working, and no codes for the CCM. I'm guessing its a clogged heater core and I'm not ripping apart the dash myself.

Car is still way comfy. Just got new snow shoes for the girl so will pop in the new sensor tonight when I pop those on.
