yeah I would have to agree. pork chops are good. location is excellent.

and, ghosthop, I agree completely with your assessment of Utah restaurants, at least "high end farm to table" type joints. Utah has an amazing 1st/2nd gen immigrant restaurant scene, but that's pretty much it.

If you had been here in the 90’you would think the food scene now is amazing. Although compared to some others places you are absolutely correct (having just spent a week in what I considerAmericas best food city(Chicago)

Even from the early 2000s the restaurant scene here is massively better. It used to be a desert filled with only fast food options. And now you can get a drink before your food arrives.

What are some of the best Chinese places in the valley? I really like Mountain City in Holladay. It can be hit or miss but some things are really phenomenal and its close to my house, but my partner doesn't really like them for some reason so I want to try somewhere else for her sake.

is the Church of Dirt too DYI? As for reception and camping, there are rentals in Bonanza Flats near the COD, I know one owner who rents up there if you need someone to bounce ideas of off

Storm Mountain Amphitheater or the gazebo at Spruces Campground (can reserve on recreation.gov)

Also you can reserve the meadow area at the Stairs Hydroelectric plant thru Rocky Mountain Power

Maybe we just don't like new american joints? Next anniversary, it's table x or takashi or something else entirely.

there are sooooo many places doing the same menu items slightly differently at new american joints these days that unless it's truly knocked out of the park if you eat out at the $100/couple ish restaurants semi frequently it is bound to be disappointing a fair amount. Kinda over trying different restaurants of that type/price point right now and would rather stick to favorites when we dine out.

Like, I want to go try Urban Hill but do I really need to spend $150 to do that?

Ate at the Leonardo's place in PC with phall this weekend, in full agreement that was some of the best mexican I've had in UT/good for anywhere. Saying this after being in San Diego for 2 weeks earlier this month too!

What are you looking for? Lots in the area but you’re also in a free UTA zone so transit around your general area won’t cost you a dime.

If yr wanting to enjoy some unique views take a walk around City Hall and a poke inside the library.

Woodsy has more of a clue than must of us but I like Eva’s Bakery for breakfast.

Driving into town to pick up the Mrs. at the airport and then heading North to Idaho. Any recommendations for quick food stop heading north from the airport?
