The skiing is too good though. And as a tourist from Europe I found it quite nice.

Confirmed. As low key as they get and too far from anything to ever get that crowded. No grooming means no families and not a ton of jongs. Short season though.

Honestly, butte seems like it would be pretty nice. Good mtb, disco, maverick, bridger, lost trail. Some big mountains for a little bc. Georgetown lake and the pintlers... Not sure about the cancer though. I want a house on georgetown lake.

It takes a special breed of person to live in the U.P. It takes and even specialler (?) breed to live so far north on the Keewenaw Peninsula.

Let me get this straight. You aren't rich, but you own eight houses and you paid all cash for all of them. You split your time between Florida and North Carolina. You grew up in Tahoe and Mammoth but are still clueless when it comes to ski towns in the West. You take eight weeks off each winter and ski all over the West with your family. When you are not skiing, you go mountain biking or kayaking three to four days a week. Now you want to find a top secret ski resort in the West to move to but you still want to summer at your "mountain bike mecca" in North Carolina. You're going to build out your Sprinter van so you can ski all over the West. And you are doing this all with your teenage kids. Have you thought about starting a YouTube channel? Or at least Instagram? Preferably with matching jackets for the whole family. People will eat this shit up.

And why is everyone PMing this guy ideas? Is this TGR or is this Alpinezone? Where the fuck is Greg when we need him?

I gave up a hot tip for an uncrowded resort town like Butte Silverbow to a troll? Feeling used after trying to help.

Except for the yoopers. See ADs comment above. In all honesty though, I like ‘em. Not sure what that says about me?

It was very helpful to many. The Bakersfield of Montana needs recognition and you're the man to provide it.

I don't think Red7 is a troll. After I read his first post, I was fairly certain it was Benny or glademaster having some fun. But I think Red7 is a real person and really is as clueless as he appears. Must be the result of the Tahoe/Mammoth school system.

    It is teetering.

As for the OP, here I ask him if he wants a house in Trendy Bozeman and .... crickets.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

I dunno... Republican, democrat.... fuck that noise. Montana and Wydaho are just amazing. Let's just ski and be kind. Unless you are shitposting from NC or FL.

    I'M NORMAL

Although you can probably cross the UP off your list. Local housing market went nuts during covid. It's not quite CO mountain town levels of insanity, but the days of buying a $25k house to live out your days bumming around half dead ski hills are solidly behind us.

Someone gets it. Sometimes it's just about stoke and skiing; everything doesn't need to be political.
