Got in early too! Looking at real estate here makes my head hurt now.

    Can’t beat a $1500 a month mortgage.

    How about a $0/month mortgage?

It is a wonderful feeling. Congrats.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

    T-minus 8 months...

And thanks, man. It's going to come at a very opportune time, as the 3rd kid will be starting at university and we're going to need a new car soon.

What kind of "water shit" is your wife into? You won't find a place in MT with more lake access than Helena, except maybe around Flathead, but then you gotta live in shitty inversion all winter.

I think a boat would have the same effect.

I think I just missed my chance of living somewhere like whitefish or bend and wonder what it would have been like. I might not have even liked it.

Yeah... I think you're gonna have to look to foreign shores to make her and you happy.

Seems like Helena is a poor choice.

It’s actually our favorite place so far between boulder, Houston, and denver.

She must not like the ocean... or dislike winter all *that* much, then.

Nah her real dream is a house on the water on canyon ferry and 80 degrees. That sounds pretty great actually. Still can get to GD quickly. Maybe a mid winter trip to Mexico or CR.

Well, I saw him pass by one other skier during the entire video, so it's got that going for it.

Keep looking. Wait for prices to come down. You can do it. If there is anywhere remaining in the U.S. that you might be able to afford that, it is Canyon Ferry/Hauser/Holter.

Don't take Helena for granted, trust me. I made that mistake when I was in my 30s and moved away. It was only by the most incredible luck that I was able to move back.

We could have probably afforded it when we first moved here but we were slaves to broadband internet at the time and starlink wasn’t really a thing yet.

Hopefully prices come down and rates come down. Otherwise, still winning.

Live and do water sports in the Gulf of Thailand and snow ski in Japan and NZ! Best of both worlds year-round, even the water will be a comfy 80 degrees! Hire a ladyboy for a maid!

JFC..are we gonna do this again? Coloradbro's blowing up helena just to deflect from the sheer awesomeness that is anaconda! Multiple lakes and questionable waterways! Unlimited motorized access with the ability to carry your choice of American made hand cannon! All while dodging meth shacks and boondocking wilderness access! Premier duck hunting in Berkeley Pit!! Shit I've said too much.

You just have to know where to go at the resort once you get there. I have visited mags and been shown some great days

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Is bend really a ski town? I'd rather own a home in Helena.
