If you don't know why the Ukrainians are sore at Russia, the Holodomor, or terror famine. It was a democide, the government organizing the mass death of its people (in this case to suppress the Ukrainian independence movement).

3-12 million (probably 4-6 million) starved to death in the bread basket of Europe because all their harvest was taken at gunpoint, the starving Ukrainians weren't allowed to leave, and meanwhile the Russians were exporting the grain they took from Ukraine to use money for state projects. Ukrainian women were selling their bodies for a few slices of bread and in some cases parents even ate their dead children.

There's a bunch of commercial satellites with cameras and multispectral sensors these days. Dunno if there's enough for continuous coverage, or how much area can be covered. Planet Labs, etc. I'm surprised we haven't seen much - DOD might have bought all the slots. Commercial drones can do a lot, too. All those youtubers with their beautiful landscape shots of their GOTOS overlanders - those drones film ugly tanks equally well. (maybe they are easily jammed?).
