Val Gronda, skiers left traverse right off the top t-bar @ Disentis:

Skiers left is more in the sun, skiers right stays more shaded, so there will either be pow or corn

    Some Airolo stoke.

If Andermatt gets stormed out, this place is a 2 hour train ride away from venduls place with a ton of super steep tree skiing, .

One day there, I saw a 6'+ tall buddy on Lotus 138s completely submerge in pow.

One other potential resource when looking at the mountains/freeride options is the FATMAP app.

I am eyeing flight prices and this seems very tempting. Maybe I can convince Foggy.

65 chf /night sharing double including breakfast and dinner at mt-lodge Rueras/Sedrun, 300 feet to train station, 5 minute train ride to lifts less than 50 chk/day lift ticket. Do it.

PS. Vendul is super rad person who will work you if your bank wants to charge you $40 to send a $70 wire for room reservation.

I got fucked with a $50 fee at US. Bank for the wire transfer. And it took me two weeks and four tries to finally get it done.

Little local credit union wouldn't do it.

Big bank wouldn't do it on weekends, making it tough to align with my work hours. Also had to be done by the branch manager, who takes long lunch breaks. Bank system outage foiled me once, too.

    Not impressed... glad it's done.

    Where for 2020?

Briancon might be a good location with access to La Grave (30 minutes), Serre Chevalier (right there), Milky Way (20 minutes), Queyras (an hour), Vars-Risoul (40 minutes), Puy St. Vincent (30 minutes), the Maurienne Valley (Val Thorens/Trois Vallees/Val Frejus/Val Cenis/Bonneval Sur Arc)

Or Bourg St. Maurice with access to La Rosiere/La Thuile, St. Foy, Tignes/Val d'Isere, Les Arcs/La Plagne/Paradisski, Trois Vallees ?

Both places would really require cars/vans.

Another more trainable option would be Gasteinertal/Mallnitz/Moetaller Gletscher/Val Gardena. Or stay around Zell Am Zee for Kaprun/Schmitten or Kitzbuhel/Fieberbrun?

My bank wanted the same. I said fuck that and went on the World Wide Web and finally ended up at western union. $50 to send someone my money with the few clicks of a mouse is highway robbery.

Yeah, sorry, I should have mentioned Western Union. UBS might work too.

Yeah, not a fan of Western Union.

Maybe I'll just hold my nose next time... but I disapprove of their involvement in nefarious shit like money laundering, terrorist financing, human trafficking, advance fee scams, etc. Dozens of WU agents have been complicit in various frauds. And customers can easily be blown off.

Thirty-nine-and-a-half foot pole territory for me. Shrug

Does Transferwise.com work from the US? Might be worth looking into as a cheaper option for sending money...

    OK, for that:
U.S. Bancorp, the parent company of U.S. Bank, was fined $528 million for violations of the Bank Secrecy Act. Prosecutors said it failed to alert law enforcement to Tucker's suspicious banking activities.
