so will go day pass for Alta Saturday, then Spring pass at Snowbird from Sunday(couple Alta top ups). Will do a day Deer Valley next Thursday.

Seems it will be nice and warm in SLC for staying at the Crystal Inn in Midvale, packing mainly shorts.

    why not???

But in all serious no, never would. I did manage to leave my Billy Goats in Alta car park over night once and was so glad that everyone at Alta was nice and returned them to me. That was the last tie I left stuff in the car over night.

high N facing still pretty creamy in the trees, low angle yesterday PM. Bit of a breakable crust about 1-2" down on anything else.

Looked like the highest elevations were getting a bit scoured by the pretty persistent NW winds up high. Not really any wind effect on the snow from 10k down off ridgelines.

Have we really had a good melt/freeze cycle? I haven't been up this week. Seems with the new snow Monday and mostly cloudy conditions for the rest of week we probably didn't get a hard freeze and melt. Maybe though...

Did white pine Couloir this morning. Down low (prob to 9kish, wasn't really paying attention) was crust but supportable, coming out around 11, it was soft). Up top snow was dry and super variable, not bad but not great. Oddly enough skied a section that was an easily breakable crust over feet of graupel. Never skied anything like that but it was like skiing in slow motion. It was Very difficult trail breaking and wish I hadn't left the Verts at home.

    Gnarchived killed it

Nice pics all! Went to Brighton Thursday (cousin) /Friday (kids). Thursday morning was a ton of fun and we basically had milly to ourselves. Friday couldn't have been more proud of my 4 year old. Went on majestic with me and pizza'd a lot of sections better than a good many adults. Brighton Ski School has been life changing. 4 year old has improved so much over 5 weeks its crazy. Signing both of my daughters up next year for sure.

What's up Utah? I will be in you tomorrow. Will be splitting time between snowbird and Solly all week with wife and kids in ski school, depending on weather. Is there still cold snow on North aspects up high at the bird or are we chasing the sun already? Weather forecast seems to change every five mins.

well I had a great day at Alta today - main chute some stuff off the backside - once it all softened it was great. skied 9-3.50 tired now.

The hike up baldy reminded me of the height here - think I deserve a steak tonight.

looking forward to tomorrow at Snowbird.
