Can we just shoot the hostage and end this bullshit season already?
I'm still hoping for a corn window of some sort. Long spring days of exploration and fast travel are typically some of my favorite.

Well 2" of rain will certainly consolidate the snowpack, assuming the rapid loading doesn't rip everything out to the ground. The mid-range models are showing a generally unstable pattern for the next several weeks though, so the odds of a good melt/freeze cycle don't look great and once we get into May good overnight freezes become less and less likely. Sigh.

Pretty much par for the course here. I feel like we have a better chance of powder in May than corn around here.

    GUYS GUYS GUYS --

Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

What the fuck happened to the Wasatch Stoke Conditions Observations and Assorted Drivel thread I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you D-Roc, we might get in trouble."

Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Buttahflake, he's a dead man! Benny Profane, dead! Skirotica....

As a tourist here with the rest of the bay area this week, I have to say that despite the rough start this am, post 1:30 pm, everything steep enough to demand aggressive edge to edge skiing was freakin' choice. Cirque laps ftmfw this afternoon!

This "storm" tomorrow isn't going to help the snowpack at all

Does anyone know if it's snowing up there right now? Noaa suggests it is but they are not reporting any on the website.

This morning, it was snowing at Alta, but raining when you got down to the cliff lodge. The lower angle from poleline was great even with just a couple inches of snow. I'm sure it will get better as the day went on. Visibility left was not great but I've had worse. Also skied holy mole which oddly enough was great to get into. Once in the chute it was ice city but that made it more "fun" the handline is buried and it was fairly easy to get in for those looking to get in there

Did a lap in Wolverine Cirque, few inches of cream. Rode great. Temp must've risen some, between 11 when I started and when I came down microwave around 130 cuz the bottom half was really wet and sluffing easily. Got onto lower angle stuff before getting close to the summer road.Click image for larger version.

Got up Grizzly early to beat the incoming monsoon. Sloppy down low but smooth cream cheese up top.
