    Nothing wrong with conditions (unless you care about the snow) or elk burgers. After lunch I think it's base layers only

    Coming to a sunrise lot near you circa New Years weekend (as long as it snows just a bit between now and then).

    Excellent Matt. That was interesting.

    Skiing/riding was so nice today. Calm spring conditions, empty slopes, carvable cord. Super fun.

    Anyone in town next weekend...I’m got a photo slideshow as part of the Dirksen Derby Film and Foto Kick Off Party at the Tower. Should be a solid night of stoke.

    If you can’t ski pow ... then rip the crunchy crust!!!

    Just kidding, trails were hero Velcro beneath the canopy.

    Rather bony yesterday, but the views were spectacular. No lines and very little people were a nice touch. Props to Meadows for opening Cascade. It was about the only skiable terrain out there.

    Based on some of the runs, I'm wondering if Meadows will be able to make it the week.

    Super duper fun the past 3 days up on Palmer. Hoping for more snow but fast runs and spring weather in December is so nice.

    if you can find someone to get the skis to me in pdx, i can meet you at your nearest i-5 intersection and hand em off

    let me know
    AC, thanks for the offer... I just requested to mail the skis as I'll be out of the area before rides would arrive.

    See you at BBI if not before.

    Watched that from the cat track at the top of Palmer. Looked like a warm wet slide. Not sure if the guy was ever really in that much danger but yeah it got our attention.

    I had to watch that a half dozen times to make sure that wasn't me hahaha. With the zoomed in view it took me a minute to realize where he was over toward Steel Cliffs/White River

    I Kicked off a shallow, slow moving, easily managed sluff skiing west crater rim Sunday and at first glance of the video I was like "Shit it didn't look that big or fast skiing next to it" but the slide in that vid is much larger - a legit slide opposed to my sluff.

    ^ wow you guys must be down in a shaded valley that's mostly north or northeast aspects?

    The grass on the north side of my house looks like that, but most other parts of the house have been melting each day and then frosting each night.

    If anyone is familiar with Monroe/Alpine, on Sunday, I saw the aftermath of a car that lost it on the frost accumulation on Alpine Road and ended up in one of the farm fields below the road. I was coming down Alpine pretty hot ... and was pretty glad I put my studs on before Thanksgiving as I passed by the crashed subie ...
