Hypothetically. You're saying if you were a tuna and you got hooked and released you would be worse off than being gaffed, pulled onto boat and suffocated to death?

If coyotes can be fish, surely tuna can be trout.

Big pile o' coyote shit in the driveway this morning. Sigh. At least all the animals are accounted for this morning.

    Charlies say, Tuna Tastes good.
I have been in this State for 30 years and I am willing to admit that I am part of the problem.

It's a hard life out west with the coyote poo and tenants who don't open their blinds.

So... is it wrong to buy an air gun to plink the raccoons who are trying to eat my backyard chickens?

Yes. Go with something bigger. Although there's a crop of air rifles that can certainly do some damage.

If you're looking for a reaction, footage of shooting your finger off will definitely get one.

    Coyote Problem

Get a big Dog. I never saw a coyote until my black lab died. Then they started showing up to try and eat the ex wifes dachschund.

An air rifle is more lethal than you think. I once took a 25yrd shot with a piece of shit bb gun that I couldnt hit a barn door with, and killed a rabbit. Miracle shot, Carlos Hathcock would be proud. I felt kinda bad though.

Would think you'd want to go with an air rifle chambered for .22 as opposed to the more common .177 if your main objective was slaying coons. That said, I bet you could well and truly ruin a coons day (night?) with the .177 Gamo one linked earlier.
Brandine: Now Cletus, if I catch you with pig lipstick on your collar one more time you ain't gonna be allowed to sleep in the barn no more!
    Cletus: Duly noted.

I don't want to kill them. Just want them to learn to avoid my yard.

Rock salt 12 gauge. Pellet gun will get up to a couple inches of penetration depending on the gun and distance.
