Curious to hear 2 cents on the sentencing.
Truly scary part is that he was allowed to run wild in that department for so many years.
"He's been named a defendant in more than 12 federal lawsuits, "accusing him of planting evidence, wrongfully killing civilians, falsifying police reports and conducting illegal arrests,"
They kind of down played the fact that he planted a baggie with coke in it on him as well. Um, you drive around with a baggie of coke on you do ya. Talk about fucking someones life over.
8 or more cops on the scene, all corroborated his story? Good work.
Text exchange between him and his partner :
"At least give me the satisfaction of knowing you're out there beating up niggers right now," Melendez texted Zieleniewski in March, the Guardian reports.
"[Lol], just got done with one," Zieleniewski responded.
"To the community, I am truly sorry that you believe my actions were unjust," he said in his pre-sentence statement. "Please have faith in your law enforcement officer, for many of them would risk their lives for your's."
The OJ knife story is just bizarre. Called the dept. for the case number so you can have it etched in to the frame of the potential murder weapon that you are framing??? Can you be this retarded??

Cop comes on to property (no one home) shoots family dog and leaves a note....
"ROGERS COUNTY, Okla. - An Owasso mother said her children came home from church to find their family dog bleeding from a gunshot wound on their front porch Wednesday night. A note from the Rogers County Sheriff's Office was attached to the door."
"Rogers County Sheriff Scott Walton said his deputy was investigating a crime in the area when he felt threatened by the dog. Walton said he used his gun to protect himself."

Chicago released a bunch of its videos of police use of force.
God bless you and keep you, oh great administrator. May God shine his face upon you and grant you peace.
Dashcam footage of cop tasing, dragging, and dropping teen is unsealed

He likely won't do well in gen pop, even in federal prison.
Even though all Old Testament on the asshole won't bring the kids brain back
Decent recounting of the nonsense turned ruined life:

His dad is a 20yr tenured cop, instructed him on how to handle the police after being harassed before. Not surprised at all, contempt of cop turns into an ugly assault on a civilian.
Contempt of cop? Really? Contempt of the people who you are supposed to protect and serve. I was raised to believe that bullshit, always obey the police, but it's so much bullshit. The police work for us, they aren't an occupying force. If that cop couldn't assess the situation and stay cool he has no business being in that job. Thug mentality.
For sure, the cop is a psycho. I guess at least 5% or so are. Adverse selection.
What I meant by saying that is police react to legitimate, lawful conduct (like this kid) with a variety of approaches to force submission. If you don't submit, they escalate and try to break your arm. As you try to move your arm to not be broken, they say stop resisting and slam you on the concrete, shoot you, tase you, whatever the fuck their rage leads to. In the end you have a series of very minor justifications that add together to theoretically justify killing / coma'ing / beating / harassing people. It's complete bullshit that's made possible by conspiracy after conspiracy among FOPs, rank & file, appointed officials, etc. A very rotten system in some roles/areas.
The Justice Department staffer leading investigations wrote this piece on contempt of cop and how it's used to justify everything from brutal acts to systematic harassment. It's not new and I've posted it before, but the point seems to elude national discourse.

So what's going to happen to the people involved with the internal "investigation" that basically determined that there was nothing to see here? The head of IA, the prosecutor and probably the chief, should be brought up on charges. They all had to have seen the video and tried to sweep it away. Would guess the only reason the FBI got involved was because of the father being a cop. 4 years is a joke.
That poor kid.
The officer got off easy IMO. But the cop dad isn't entirely blameless either. At best, he gave his son bad advice about how to deal with a cop doing an illegal stop or search; at worst he was using his son as a surrogate in a war he was having with the local PD. He should have been telling his son what black parents tell their sons--when an angry, power-mad, large, armed man with a badge tells you to do something you do it. You let your lawyer worry about your rights later; if the stop is bad enough it could turn into a nice payday for you.
