K... I'm retarded.
I just found feature that lets you move between apps. It's actually better than the android/Samsung version of that feature.
That was the problem I was having.
The only gripe I still have is that apps and settings in general are limited in customization options compared to Android. Not a huge deal.
SwiftKey doesn't have long press option for numbers like it does on Android either. Again, not a huge issue but I do miss that feature
If it's green, smoke it...if it's pink, poke it
BUY THESE------> 193 iM 103 - $50 http://www.tetongravity.com/forums/s...d.php?t=179797
Which 3 buttons? I usually have my S5 in a shirt pocket because it's so large but sometimes have it in my front pants/shorts pocket (like when wearing Tshirts.)
No problems with the phone at all. I got a 64Gb microSD card for $30 from Amazon and have all my (non-Verizon bloatware) apps on that instead of the internal storage. Same goes for pix, vids, and music. Verizon Cloud backs up my contacts, messages, and calendar automatically. Email is Gmail so unaffected by phone.
Liv2ski - I don't use Spotify so have nothing to relate on that front. I use DoubleTwist as my main music player, either mp3s from the microSD or Podcasts. Seems to work well.
I see hydraulic turtles.
Power, volume down and the home button will trigger a hard reset. Further reading on this, and it may have been that I attempted to enter my pin 10 times (work security, gotta have a pin) from my pocket which caused it to wipe. Either way, the screen was too easy to turn on in my pocket. It wipes the SD card as well, so automatic cloud backups are a must now.
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.
Also, google saw our thread and is helping us out:

I just got a Galaxy s5. It's got the gorilla glass. Should I go full Lifeproof case or is that not needed? My last 2 otter boxes sucked.
Am I the only one here who doesn't own a cell phone? I'm just curious. I'm not trying to make any kind of statement.
Any particular reason you don't own a phone?
Leaving 2007 and my Blackberry Curve behind tomorrow for a leap into 2012 and a Samsung S3.
Installed some flooring in the living room this past weekend. Couple days of hard (for me) work. Celebrated by dropping a 5s on its face on the new floor. $138 later the phone glass is clear but the fingerprint scan doesn't work, the main reason the phone was bought.
on the plus side the new layout is relaxing to offset the wallet burn. Might send a page to dd to buy my prints back off the black market.
I just got iPhone 6. Battery wears like iron and the bigger screen is so easy to read.
As cliche as it sounds, I try to be in the moment as much as I can and for me a phone intrudes/detracts from that moment. I just don't want or need that kind of connectivity.
I'm sure part of it is my age (56) and the other part is for a good portion of my Air Force life I was on an electronic leash. Think bag phone and pager.![]()
If you live somewhere that has a UbreakIfix shop the replacement is only $89+tax and guaranteed to work fully.
This. Plus whomever replaced the glass either didn't connect or broke the ribbon connecting the home button/fingerprint reader to the main board. It's easy to do when you take the glass off. You have to pry the thing open carefully and then pop off the connector to the home button.
Thanks- a road trip to Aurora would be needed for that fixit co, not that is a bad thing.
Going to check the warranty on the replacement and go from there. Appreciate the assistance
upgraded my 2k11 4s with a 5s this week. Big upgrade. But same deal as with the computers, i don't think anyone is using a 3.5-4 year old android, whereas the apple product was still kind of motoring along, i just wanted a little bit more battery life and 4g.
