I am really enjoying my HTC One M8, clean interface, battery life is decent (supposedly gets worse over the life of the phone). Coming from an iphone I notice no difference in usability.

It is possible to get to a screen that resets everything if the phone is off in your pocket, but from there you have to select some options, etc.

Off as in screen off, or power off?
I've concluded that DJSapp was never DJSapp, and Not DJSapp is also not DJSapp, so that means he's telling the truth now and he was lying before.

I REALLY like my Droid Turbo. Interface is quite a bit cleaner than my Samsung tablet, minimal bloatware (mostly the stuff Verizon puts on) and most of the Motorola apps are actually pretty useful. Then one that automatically detects when you're driving and offers to announce phone calls and read text messages to you is rad. Fast, lots of storage, good battery life (charge it once per day and use it pretty heavily). Only complaint is that some of the menus and such aren't as customizable as the Samsung version of Android or my older LG phone was, but I was mostly able to download some simple apps that do 95% of what I wanted.

I can't compare to the HTC One.

Power off, if I hit the wrong buttons on start up, it takes me to a screen where I could potentially reset the phone.

It would be hard to accidentally reset the phone I think.

Use a Turbo for work and I agree awesome phone....long battery..good camera....fast....great display. little on the beefy side weight wise but super solid build feel..nothing cheap comes from Motorola.

Third on Moto. Still liking my year-old Gen 1 Moto X. They've been doing a good job recently. And their wireless radios are still the best, last I checked.

Actually its odd...i have a work phone (Turbo) and personal (Galaxy s3) and the wifi signal is always 1 bar higher on the Sammie over the Moto. Moto never gets full bars unless RIGHT near the AP. Im not blaming the phone..its still friggin fast, just something ive noticed and since you brought it up..

Another vote for the Turbo. I can't find anything wrong with it and I've got it dialed in just to what I need. Again, takes great pics too.

Interesting. Though that may mean that the two phones just measure reception differently for the purposes of the display. I saw an actual lab test a year or two ago comparing various offerings and Moto's phone they tested (Droid variant du jour) was way out ahead. Can't seem to find it now though. You should actually be able to look at the numbers on your phone: http://www.ubersignal.com/field-test-mode

    Twice. Like a boss.

And Tipp, setup some kind of auto-backup for your phone. I'm warning you, I lost months of data, pictures, etc on that thing.

Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

It can hard reset in your pocket if you manage to push three buttons for long enough (i.e. squatting down for a bit in my front jeans pocket). Other than that (and the funky samsung software which I didn't care for) it was fine.

Just upgraded from an S3 to an S6. It's a night and day difference. Blazing fast, the camera is top notch and the screen is the best around. My wife has an S5 and this is a decent upgrade imo. You have to switch out the launcher and a few other little things, but it's pretty good to go out of the box.

Well there is that and I rarely put my phone in a pant pocket, so that wasn't an issue for me. I am likely a big dork, but I prefer the phone in a leather case I can clip to something, like my brief case or computer bag. I don't feel the need to have it with me everywhere and think it is fucking rude when I see people together, but each zoned into their phone. For me it is a business tool, nav to get where I am going and perhaps music if Spotify is available.

I went from an iphone to an M8 also, and there are many noticeable differences in usability. Most negative ones are small and can be ignored, but the big difference is the auto-correct drives me bat-shit crazy on the M8. The iPhone is much quicker to type on.

LOL. I don't think skinny hipster douchbag jeans would fit over my calves. Belt clips and construction is a recipe for destruction as well, so it stays in pocket.

I ended up with the HTC one M9. LOUD speakerphone was the main selling point, as I hold conference calls on the truck tailgate often. Seems to be a good thing.

you're not a dork, just older generation. when cell phones first came out in pocket size, I was very excited to finally have a communication device that would always be with me. I don't have to be on my phone constantly, but when I want something, I like being able to reach in my pocket and pull it up.

I love my droid turbo. Fast, efficient, and the battery life was the big seller for me since I hate to feel like I will run out of juice if I am not next to an outlet. Best phone since my old kyocera that had awesome battery life as well. I looked into the iPhone of course. All my other electronics is now Apple. But battery life didn't work for me. It is a little on the heavy side, droid maxx had good battery and sleek, not too heavy, but turbo is so much faster it is night and day.

    What phone now?

I'm really regretting going with free company iPhone.

    I absolutely hate it.

The functionality is full retard. I swear they must be kidding with this bullshit.

And, as I understand it, they've come a long way in making improvements since a few generations ago

    Fuck Apple

Edit...I actually do love the camera though. It's pretty amazing
