Anyone know what's up with Clarks Bike and Ski (nee Donner Lake Bike and Ski)? Facebook says hours irregular, call to arrange work. Phone no longer in service. Only shop I really trust around here--I appreciate being able to talk to the guy that actually does the work and cares to do a good job.

Things are getting pretty brutal for the local shops. I just got some new skis mounted... overnight. Could have had them the same day, which I've never heard before - even during the past few years. Yeesh.

Repair business must be good though.
I've had Greg (Clark's) do a mount, a couple of tunes, and a weld all overnight. One more reason to hope he's still open.

I have a Dynafit wide jig and am in Reno. I'm out of town until Sun night though.

I'd bet even the repair biz stinks right now.
There's just so little snow, most folks don't even think of venturing off the groomers.

Man, I hope Greg keeps the lights on. I've had both ski and bike work done there. Great work, very reasonable prices, and about the nicest guy I've ever met in my life.

Last time I had a mount done in the valley it can back over 3cm off. I do all my own mounts now because I that experience.

No shit....I haven't bothered skiing in 2-3 weeks, as I am waiting for it to dump to cover all the damn rocks up. Lucky I am not holding my breath.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Man it was brutal today at Squaw.
Think it's the worst we've had this season.
    Wish we'd gone to Alpine.

Tahoe Sports Hub is the new name of the sports exchange if anyone is looking for it on line.

Northstar and Alpine are both way better than Squaw right now (I visited all three this week). Head over to Lookout Mountain.

Thanks for trying! And thanks for visiting Owen at race course. You've learned your lesson about being race grandparents. Lots of effort for little return. Except for a hug now and then.

    Have fun at N*

Stumbled into TheDad's daughter today at SV while she was with another coach and 21 tiny monkeys. She has 'em rolling tough. I could barely keep the 5 boys I had with me under control. I was impressed. Good on you lass.
I didn't believe in reincarnation when I was your age either.

Ya Greg is still doing great work in that shop. He's there in the mornings and race trains at sugar bowl mid day then back in the shop later in the day. Hit or miss but worth it.

Everyone at Sugar Bowl was stoked on the conditions today. Lots of cold facets piled on the trail sides.

Fun was had at Kirkwood yesterday...gorgeous weather, tested my new touring boots, found decent wintery snow between the ice, skied with my 3 year old, spent 2 hours on chair 6, and then more time with the 3 year old. Successful day indeed.

I was right there with you but don't recognize the outfit. Black helmet, red jacket, blue pants, yellow Explosiv's. (Totally useful rock skiing yesterday!)
Someone once told me that I ski like a Scandinavian angel.
