Don't listen to the whiners, KW was a blast today. Hard to go wrong on the backside. I heard MTBing is better though, so you should put your backside in the saddle and get off my mountain already.

I can confirm this. I may have seen you. Saw a bunch of splitters (and solid boards with snowshoes) out there.

I've never skied up there. Will have to do some research. Any handy Shasta links offhand?

Watch out for lemurians. Typically characterized by a the wide eyed gaze associated with a recent concussion, they will often appear to be staring past you while talking, and in some cases may invite you to a yoga session to drink some weird smelling stuff in a home made ceramic mug.

"There are also reports of the Bigfoot race of people being seen on some remote areas of Mount Shasta, along with many other mysterious beings. The Bigfoot people are now very few in numbers around the world and around Mount Shasta. They are of average intelligence and possess a peaceful heart. They have also obtained the dispensation to be able to make themselves invisible at will to be able to avoid confrontation with us and thus, like the little people, avoid being harmed, mutilated and used as a slave race."

Wow, you learn something every day.

for those wondering where all the snow went, it's on the flume trail
fat bikes are for fags (nttiawwt)

we don't need no stinkin' studs (actually we fell several times when we rode along the shore and it was sooooper slick)

some of the areas actually had good riding (about 4 out of the 13 miles)

I gave a ride to a Lemurian/crystal worshiper ... from the school up to Panther Meadows. That was a fun conversation. He even had a twisted gnarled staff, and a glass canteen!

I went to Southern Oregon College a long time ago. Near Weed. The legend was common knowledge. Little people living under the great mountain.

Drove to AM this a.m. and it was drizzling in Kings Beach, changed to rain flakes at Dollar Point, snow after turning up AM road and started sticking to the grass at around the five lakes trailhead. Left at 11 and top of summit had 3-5 inches drifted in. Groomers were not icy underneath so pretty fun except off piste! Honestly felt like a powder day so I guess I have forgotten what those feel like.

In other news heavenly has not updated their uphill traffic telephone recording so I hiked up to the top of Olympic last night and past by 10-15 patrollers and 20+ blue and yellow jackets. 1 patroller asked where I was going and turned to his boss I guess who said he didn't care as long as the lifts were not spinning. Sunset was cool. Today's snow was pretty good for 2 inches as well.
